Ready your K-Drama couch camping gears, Hospital Playlist 2 is coming to us in June!
Critically-acclaimed and well-loved series Hospital Playlist preps up for its second season. Still keeping its sole Thursday slot airing, all actors from the first season are also set to reprise their roles.
Photos from the table-read session were also unveiled signaling the beginning of the production.
Hospital Playlist explores the amazing bond among five friends who have stayed close with each other since attending medical school together 20 years ago. They can practically read each other’s minds and know each other like the back of their hands.
In their 40’s life begins for each of them. With careers as doctors, the pragmatic lives of people living, dying, and just passing by in the hospital will be narrated from their different perspectives.
Following last season, Hospital Playlist 2 aims for another story full of warmth and pleasant laughter, as well as the endearing chemistry of the five main actors.
In the script-reading session held in January, director Shin Won Ho met with the doctors of fictional Yulje Hospital. Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Jeon Mi Do and Kim Dae Myung were all in high spirit reading lines and convening for another exciting project.
Returning as Lee Ik-jun, a professor of General Surgery, Jo Jung Suk is full of bright energy revealing his irreplaceable presence and pleasant personality.
Team Yulje Hospital
Our favorite pediatric surgeon, Ahn Jung-won, was captured to perfection by Yoo Yeon Seok. It can’t be helped to anticipate if the budding romance last season will be in full bloom in Hospital Playlist 2.
Although appearing cold and distant, Jung Kyung Ho’s Kim Jun Wan warmed up the table-read as he perfectly expresses even the small gestures.
Portraying Yang Seok Hyeong, a professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology who possesses a more delicate charm than anyone else, is Kim Dae Myung. He draws attention with his detailed and vibrant acting.
Lastly, Jeon Mi Do suits up as Chae Song-hwa, who showed perfect character digestion with her stable acting.
Also present in the script-reading session is the equally engrossing supporting cast. Kim Hae Sook returns as Jung-won’s mother. Likewise, the friendly scene-stealer Do Jae-hak played by Jung Moon Sung is confirmed to join anew.
Expected to build romance storylines with the doctors are actresses Ahn Eun Jin, Shin Hyun Bin, and Kwak Sun Young who take the roles of Chu Min-ha Jang Gyeo-wool, and Lee Ik-soon respectively.
The production crew of Hospital Playlist 2 asserts deeper chemistry of the cast., “As much as you waited for, we will repay you with good work.”
