Han Ye Ri Embraces Optimism Despite A Life Full of Struggles In tvN Drama “Hometown”

Hometown

Fresh from the success of the film Minari, the actress slates her small-screen comeback in tvN series Hometown.

Set in a rural town in 1999, Hometown follows detective Choi Hyung In (Yoo Jae Myung) as he solves a bizarre case that took place in 1989. In that year, Jo Kyung Ho (Uhm Tae Goo) turns himself after killing passengers in a train station in his hometown.

While Jo Kyung Ho convicts of life imprisonment, his daughter Jo Jae Young (Lee Re), lives with her aunt, Jo Jung Hyun (Han Ye Ri).

In the drama, the actress takes on the role of Jung-hyun who lives with the social stigma of being a terrorist’s sister.

The stills released feature Han Ye Ri settling to the character of Jung-hyun. She lives with a strong vitality and a positive side as she drives her scooter with a gentle smile.

Another image shows her sitting in front of the store alongside her mother, Kim Kyung-sook (Park Mi-hyun). Jung-hyun’s difficult life can be seen through her tired-looking face and weary body. She has endured the cold stare of people around her.

Praising the actress for her character immersion, the production team remarked how Han Ye Ri has been building her character with rich and poignant acting.

Hometown reveals the mysteries starting this September on tvN.
