tvN Series “Hometown” Gears Up For Its September Broadcast

Yoo Jae Myung, Han Ye Ri and Uhm Tae Goo are making their drama comeback through tvN’s Hometown!

Written by Joo Jin and directed by Park Hyun Seok (Stranger 2), the series will be broadcast for the first time in September.

Hometown is a mystery thriller depicting a detective chasing a series of murders in 1999 and a woman searching for her abducted nephew.

In the drama, Yoo Jae Myung (Vincenzo, Itaewon Class) plays Choi Hyung-in, a detective in the homicide squad who lost his wife to a horrific terrorist crime. He is a person who lives like a ghost for a decade out of the guilt of leaving his wife to die. Then, he takes charge of a murder case, connected to his loved one’s death and the terrorist.

Han Ye Ri (Minari, Switch Change the World) takes on the role of Jo Jung-hyeon, who endures the social stigma of being a terrorist’s family. Reconstructing her life destroyed by his brother’s crimes through his brother’s child, she faces another tragedy when her cherished niece disappears.

Donning the villain cap is Uhm Tae Goo (Save Me 2), the mysterious life-changing prisoner Jo Kyung-ho who committed the worst indiscriminate terrorist incident in history. As soon as he returned from studying in Japan in 1989, he caused a fatal incident on the train station in his hometown giving him a prison life sentence.

Hometown is scheduled to premiere in September.
