Meeting again in the middle of the road, Hee-do introduces her boyfriend to Yi-jin in Twenty Five Twenty One.
Rising in the competitions, the rift between Hee-do and Yu-rim becomes bigger. Yu-rim becomes more pressured to do well while Hee-do reaches the finals in the Asian Games. Meanwhile, Yi-jin becomes a trainee reporter, covering the fencing competition in the Asian Games.

Twenty Five Twenty One Episode 6 Key Moments
“Practice makes perfect even when it comes to apologizing. I doubt you would want to become an immature person who can’t apologize.”
Bringing his mother to a computer shop, Yi-jin connects his mom and father through a video call. In a conversation with his mother, Yi-jin becomes determined to go back to Seoul.
Riding on a train, Yi-jin sees the written apology letter of his brother, encouraging him to do the things he likes.
Moving forward to 5 months later, Yi-jin runs fast to occupy a payphone but fails to do so. He is now a reporter and uses the landline of a shop filled with dogs in order to report in the live news.
Yi-jin successfully reports in the live news, and walks down the block to see a bookstore with a sign that Full House volume 15 is now released.
“Even if life gets tough, don’t give up on the things you like.”
Going back to their school, Hee-do and Yu-rim take a test in Math, consistently using only one number as an answer.
In their practice matches, Hee-do always beats Yu-rim, and their coach reminds Yu-rim that she should step up her game. Along with other issues they disagree with, Hee-do mentions what she has overheard to Yu-rim, and they get into a brawl.
Being introduced to the chief, Yi-jin is brought to draw which sport their station will cover. Aiming for the soccer match, Yi-jin loses the match, and their station is assigned to cover the fencing match in the Asian Games.
Disappointed with what they got, Yi-jin pledges to their chief that he will make fencing more known to the public.
Hee-do’s mom visits Coach Yang to recruit her as the announcer for their station’s broadcast in the Asian Games. Baffled with the invitation, Coach Yang reminds her that she was the reporter who defamed her for receiving bribes.
“We were destined to meet at some point in our lives.”
In a protest they are covering, Yi-jin spots Hee-do in the street. He rushes down to find her in the crowd, and they meet each other.
Happy to meet him again, Hee-do invites Yi-jin to join lunch with her boyfriend. Yi-jin laughs at the name of endearments he hears from the couple, and exchanges numbers with Hee-do.
Preparing to cover the matches in Gyeongju, Yi-jin’s senior tells him off to raise the hood of his sports car, but Yi-jin tells him it is broken. His senior then just tell him not to wear shades while riding it.
Covering Hee-do’s match with Japan, Yi-jin rejoices after seeing Hee-do win. Yu-rim leaves hurtful remarks to Hee-do, but Hee-do remains firm that she is close to becoming Yu-rim’s rival.
“You have to be in love first for a breakup to be sad, you idiot.”
On the day of the finals match, Hee-do notices that her sword bag got switched with her competitor the other day. She rushes to ask where they can exchange their swords, and rides the train.
She successfully retrieves her sword, but her train gets delayed on its way back. In his interview with Yu-rim, Yi-jin hears about Hee-do riding the train.
Only just meeting Yi-jin again in the interview, Yu-rim tells him off for disappearing and reappearing suddenly. Yi-jin rushes to the train station to fetch Hee-do, and also supposedly his senior, but he only takes Hee-do. He drives his car, and takes a faster route by telling the police that a national player is riding his car.
They are escorted by the police, and Hee-do wonders about what would have happened if they never met. However, Yi-jin assures her that they were destined to meet at some point in their lives.
He also hears that Hee-do has broken up with her boyfriend in just two weeks of dating, and does not feel pain after the breakup. At present, Hee-do’s daughter becomes shocked with her mother’s dating life.
Hee-do and Yi-jin arrive on time, and Yi-jin is able to deliver his report about Hee-do.
Twenty Five Twenty One Episode 6 Musings
Yi-jin finally takes the courage to try again despite the experience of many failures. It’s adorable to see him reporting through the landline while also wishing that the dogs would not bark.
Hee-do introduces her boyfriend Jung Ho-jin, which is portrayed by Choi Tae Joon. Their relationship is short, but also shows how important love is in a relationship.
Although Hee-do may have entered a relationship for immature reasons, it was a good lesson on what love’s role is during a breakup, as worded by Yi-jin.
Rivals and also teammates, the tension and competition between Yu-rim and Hee-do becomes deeper. They represent the same country, but they still fight with each other, including various reasons other than sports.
Words from Yi-jin about being destined to meet at some point in their lives sound cheesy and romantic. Their journey towards their dreams is just beginning, and although it’s unsure how their relationship would turn out, their strong friendly bond at that time is satisfying.
