Starring a powerhouse cast led by Kim Hyesoo (Signal, Smugglers), the series dives into the high-pressure world of a news team racing against time to salvage their careers and unravel deeply buried secrets.
The story follows the Trigger investigative news team, a group known for exposing some of the nation’s most contentious stories while refusing to bow to advertisers’ influence. However, their fearless reporting comes at a cost. After broadcasting an especially controversial story, their future is thrown into jeopardy. With their professional reputations and livelihoods on the line, the team must achieve the unthinkable—uncover the identity of a mole leaking their personal information and solve a chilling 20-year-old cold case involving a famous actor who vanished without a trace.
Kim Hye Soo stars as the relentless presenter Oh Soryong, whose determination to uncover the truth drives the team forward. Joining her is Jung Sung Il (The Glory, Our Blues), portraying the idealistic rookie producer Han Do, and Joo Jong Hyuk (Extraordinary Attorney Woo), who takes on the role of contractor Kang Giho. Together, they form a dynamic trio, navigating the murky waters of media ethics and hidden agendas.
