Backed up by Studio Wavve, Playlist and LikeM Company, the new web series will be directed by Lee Jung-gon with Hong Jong-seong penning the script.
The Deal is billed as a thriller drama about a 10 billion kidnapping case where two young men accidentally kidnap their friend. It follows the interesting premise of yesterday’s friend, today’s hostage, and tomorrow’s accomplice.
Yoo Seung Ho as Jun-sung
First, Yoo Seung Ho takes on the role of Lee Jun-sung, who is at the center of the kidnapping drama. After being discharged from the military, he is terribly involved in a kidnapping case and experiences intense emotional changes and agony.
Recognized for his outstanding acting skills from a young age, Yoo shares his preparations for his role.

Kim Dong Hwi as Jae-hyo
Next, Kim Dong Hwi takes the role of Song Jae-hyo who spurred the kidnapping case. Jae-hyo’ encounters a crisis during his college life and makes the accidental choice of kidnapping a friend to solve it.
Kim Dong Hwi, who took off as a rising star by winning the Rookie of the Year Award at the Blue Dragon Film Festival for the 2022 film In Our Prime, has since made a strong impression on the public by making a big success in various works.
He also shares the charming point of The Deal.

Yoo Su Bin as Min-woo
The role of Park Min-woo, the scapegoat who became a hostage in the kidnapping drama, is played by Yoo Su Bin, who showed a unique presence in the dramas DP Season 2, Lost, and Start-Up. Min-woo is a character who is kidnapped by friends he has not met in a long time. He looks naive on the outside, but on the inside, he is a reversal character who is always preparing for a counterattack.
Yoo Su Bin said, “I tried to empathize with the emotions of the character who was driven to extreme situations, and since I was tied up, my actions were limited, so I wanted to focus more on expressions and lines.”

Lastly, Lee Joo Young plays the role of Cha Su-an, a police trainee who is chasing the kidnapping case. Su-an is a righteous person who hears a mysterious noise from the house in front feels suspicious and digs into the case.
Lee Joo Young, who showed perfect character digestion in various works such as the movies Broker, Baseball Girl, and the drama Itaewon Class, is expected to add tension to the case as the only witness to the kidnapping of 10 billion won.
Lee Joo-young said, “I hope you will focus on what kind of choices Su-an will make as she faces the incident.”
Featuring a unique story of kidnapping a friend for 10 billion won, the unpredictable relationship between the three friends and the rising tension of the story development add to the drawing points of the work.
The Deal will be featured in the On-Screen section of the 28th Busan International Film Festival to be held on October 4. Subsequently, it will exclusively launch on Wavve in October.
