Choi Hyun Wook takes on the role of Ahn Su-ho, a free spirit. He has no interest in school life other than to graduate safely because it’s his promise to his cherished grandmother.
Giving a preview of his character, the actor shared details about his character and preparations.
“It was nice to see the process of protecting the friends I like. Suho hates violence but jumps in without hesitation for the sake of those around him.”
For his fight scenes, Choi Hyun Wook instinctively draws Suho’s signature using his body to fight particularly by kicking. Notably, he put a lot of effort into his first action genre challenge.
“I went to action school and practiced a lot of kicks. Externally, I did a lot of exercises to build my body.”
Evident in the character stills released by Weak Hero, Choi Hyun Wook channels an inherently strong and imposing aura. His preparations interestingly emanate from the three photos.
As someone who only hopes to graduate for his grandmother, his choice to fight against injustice draws expectations if he can fulfill that wish.
Tipping viewers with Choi’s exciting transformation, the production team invites viewers to look forward to Suho.
“Choi Hyun Wook showed his perfect character immersion to the point that it’s unbelievable to think that it’s his first action performance. Through intense practice, he seems not to be lacking as if he was a real fighter on set.”
