Kakao TV’s upcoming series Welcome To Wedding Hell shares script reading photos of Lee Jin Wook, Lee Yeon Hee, and other cast members of the series.
Directors Seo Joo Wan (Love Revolution) and Song Je Young lead the recent script reading session for Welcome To Wedding Hell. Aside from the couple, the supporting cast all arrived, including Song Jin Woo, Hwang Seong Eon, and Kim Joo Yeon.
Veteran actors Kim Mi Kyung, Im Ha Ryong, Yoon Yoo Sun, and Gil Yong Woo are also seen in the session. Furthermore, the series will be Writer Choi I Rang’s comeback drama since Secret Agent Miss Oh and Tamra The Island.
Welcome To Wedding Hell narrates the story of a couple in their 30s preparing for their wedding. Lee Jin Wook plays a marriage idealist and soon-to-be-groom, Seo Joon-hyung. He is an optimistic man who is very smitten with his fiancée.
Lee Yeon Hee plays Kim Na Eun, a soon-to-be wife full of joy and affection. She has a harmonious relationship with her fiancé and got a decent job in a large company that everyone is envious of.
However, the couple’s seemingly fairytale-like life changes when they face the reality of marriage. From finding their perfect home, to ‘meeting with the parents,’ and other preparations for their wedding – those aspects challenge the couple.
During the script reading session, the lead pairing also shares their wedding dream. For Lee Jin Woo, he wishes for “a one-time wedding, grand and stylish hotel wedding.” On the other hand, Yeo Hee wants simple plans where “transportation is comfortable, meals are delicious, and it’s okay if the hall is adequate.”
Furthermore, Lee Jin Wook contemplates that wedding preparations are very complicated than he imagined. Accordingly, Lee Yeon Hee expresses that she resonates Na Eun’s feelings, raising the audience’s expectations.
Welcome To Wedding Hell will premiere in May on Netflix with a total of 12 episodes.
