“Prepare yourself. I won’t stop once I start.”
Yeo Joon and Kim So Bin seal their feelings for each other with their first kiss. Though they woke up in the same morning, the air they feel and breathe is different.
Before, Yeo Joon has no reason to continue living. But now that Kim So Bin becomes part of his life, he wants to stay to be with her.
On the other hand, Kim So Bin feels scared of her emotions. For her, Yeo Joon shows affection to her just like he does to other women.
But the two took a big leap and bravely confessed their feelings. The friendship and trust they planted grow a lot more than they expect.
However, their heart-fluttering morning ended when they encounter hindrances.
“I want to hear your story.”
Kim So Bin receives a research gig with Yeo Joon’s brother. Yeo Joon is taken aback by what he heard and told Min Ah to decline the offer.
So Bin is also surprised by Yeo Joon’s reaction. Now that their relationship is deeper, she wants to help and get to know Yeo Joon.
Even though So Bin plays a huge part in Yeo Joon’s heart, he cannot easily open his experience. Because of his response, Min Ah feels dejected.
After those talks, Kim So Bin once again attracts the attention of Yeo Joon’s admirers. Han Jeong Ho and Oh Chun Guk use Min Ah to gain money for their booth.
Park Hye Ji spread rumors about So Bin so she can get Yeo Joon to herself. In that scene, Joon’s friend called him about Min Ah’s situation.
Knowing that So Bin is scared of the crowd, he runs to the booth and protected her. His two “friends” heated the scene and argues with Yeo Joon.
Even though those punches are reminded by his parents, he overcomes this fear. As he willingly took those punches, he proved to everyone his true feelings for So Bin.
“I’ll let him follow his heart. With that, at least.”
Now that Yeo Joon and Kim So Bin have their own love story, another complicated story emerges. Young Ran and Mi Joo compete for their feelings for Soo Hyun.
The brave yet shy Mi Joo is head over heels for Soo Hyun when she met him. She tried multiple times on confessing her feelings but feels insecure by Young Ran.
On the other hand, Young Ran is Soo Hyun’s only trusted friend. Her relationship with Soo Hyun grows more but kept her emotions to protect their friendship.

Even with their “competition,” they set aside their emotions to surprise a birthday celebrant. Though Soo Hyun pushes away people, he surprisingly earned new friends.
Soo Hyun’s simple birthday celebration means a lot to him. He spent his life working rather than enjoying his youth.

The growth of the characters is well developed. At A Distance Spring Is Green started by introducing the struggles of each character.
Their journey of trust and opening to others helped them to grow. Even though everyone has their struggles, they overcome them with support.
So far, the drama series teaches everyone to enjoy their youth. The supporting characters of Professor Park and Professor Song perfectly fit the message.
At A Distance Spring Is Green slowly unveils their story of youth. Now that time passes, their characters show their longing for experiencing their youth.
Nam Soo Hyun’s character also goes well with the story. He showed his selfless personality while sacrificing his freedom.
Hopefully, Yeo Joon can share his story with So Bin and grow together. And for the other characters, may they find and solve the missing pieces they are looking for.
