Considering his exceptionally flawless features, Kang Tae-mu plans to confess without regard to rejection in Business Proposal.
With all of his prior achievements, President Kang may have fallen short of his aim of confessing his feelings to Shin Ha-ri. It is due to Ha-ri’s understanding that Kang Tae-mu contacted her outside of work to terminate her employment.

Business Proposal Episode 6 Key Moments
“How can she not see me in a romantic light? I’m handsome, tall, and rich. What do I not have?”
By evading Kang Tae-mu at work, Shin Ha-ri realizes that because Mr. Kang is already aware of the truth, her utmost concern is being fired for deceiving him.
Finding where Ha-ri went hiding, he informs her of his presence. Tae-mu then invites Ha-ri to see him after work, assuming they have a lot to discuss.
Convinced that his plan will succeed, Tae-mu, with his immensely confident aura, finally admits that he has developed affections for Ha-ri and wants to disclose them openly over dinner.
On the other hand, Sung Hoon feels that Tae-mu is moving too quickly and should contemplate a good build-up before revealing his feelings to her.
Mentally practicing his strategy, Tae-mu sends an indication to the restaurant’s personnel regarding the precise moment they would arrive with the arrangement of flowers and cake. Simultaneously, he envisions himself getting down on one knee and asking Ha-ri to go out with him with marriage in mind.
However, his plan failed as Ha-ri approached him first and handed him her resignation letter. She later concludes that everything Tae-mu did to her was to get rid of her. Likewise, she makes a presentation to him on why she would be a great employee for his company.
While conversing with Sung Hoon, Tae-mu wonders why Ha-ri does not view him romantically, despite his handsome, tall, and wealthy appearance. He even inquires Sung Hoon as to what more he lacks. Sung Hoon then informs him that from now on, Tae-mu should create real situations in order to win Shin Ha-ri’s heart for him.
“Like you said, it would be my loss to fire a useful employee like you because of a personal reason.”
Trying on his second attempt, Tae-mu prompts Ha-ri to enter his office. He further rips up her resignation letter and tells her that it would be a waste for him to fire such a valuable employee for personal reasons. He then invites her to meet with him after work to discuss a new product on which he has been covertly working.
At the movie theater, Shin Ha-ri inquires as to the type of product she is required to see. Tae-mu informs her that he needs her presence in order to clear his mind.
Making an excuse that Ha-ri hasn’t been able to go abroad, Tae-mu convinces her that since he wants to localize their products in the US, she can now have a broader view of the product on which he’s been working. He also tells her that the movie they are about to see is about a researcher for a food company.
Meeting another failed attempt to confess his feelings, Tae-mu unintentionally exits the theater, as Ha-ri’s colleagues remain to watch the movie with her.
“My heart fluttered when he tied my shoelaces for me. I must have been insane.”
While browsing on Shin Ha-ri’s SNS account, Tae-mu comes up with an excuse to go on a romantic date with her. He falls on one of her posts, showing photos of a beach and a burger stand.
Inviting Ha-ri to spend the weekend with him by the beach, Tae-mu makes his third attempt. This time, he rents the burger truck, which Ha-ri knows is difficult to come by.
After conversing about Ha-ri’s personal life and spending time together, the two are on their way back to Seoul when it begins to rain. Dread and tremendous fear pour-over Tae-mu, and he promptly urges Ha-ri to step out of the car.
Struggling to gather himself together to stop recalling the horrible memories from his past, Tae-mu stops the car for a moment. After the downpour has stopped, Tae-mu calls Ha-ri over the phone, but she is unavailable to pick up.
On the other hand, Ha-ri seeks refuge at a train station, where she dries herself and muses on whether Tae-mu’s actions against her are part of his revenge. She even thinks herself insane since her heart fluttered when he tied her shoelaces for her. But, she instantly recalls the time when he disliked talking about the rain.
After reclaiming her phone, Ha-ri runs into some of her friends, who ask her to introduce them to her boyfriend, as she informed them that she would be spending the weekends with him. When Ha-ri was about to say that she was not with him, Tae-mu approached them unexpectedly and introduced himself as Ha-ri’s boyfriend.
Business Proposal Episode 6 Musings
Business Proposal episode 6 certainly features both romance and comedy, as the romance is centered on the second lead couple while the comedy is oriented towards the first lead pairing. It is at this point that Jin Young-seo and Cha Sung Hoon cross the boundary, unavoidably kissing on the lips.
Meanwhile, Tae-mu is still trying to find the appropriate moment to express his affections for Ha-ri. It is seen through his numerous attempts to arrange a date, including romantic dinners, movie screenings, and renting a burger food truck to spend time with Shin Ha-ri.
In the sixth episode of Business Proposal, Ha-ri is already developing her affection for Tae-mu for all the sweet things he demonstrates to her. However, something is repressing her feelings because all she is aware of is that everything is business-related when it is not.
Moreover, this episode also reveals Kang Tae-mu’s past trauma and Young-seo’s fear of public restrooms. We cannot blame Tae-mu for his fear of rain, as he witnessed his parents’ car accident on a rainy day. Similarly, we hope that no one ever has to live in fear of being spied on by someone exploiting the secretly installed cameras.
Above all, we find it humorous when Tae-mu crafts an excuse to take Ha-ri on a date, as he rents the whole room at the movie theater for the two of them. Apparently, it is clear of Tae-mu’s intention, and hopefully, Ha-ri will see it as well in the upcoming episodes of Business Proposal.
