Business Proposal Episode 3 Key Moments

“My only flaw is that there’s nothing I’m not good at. All the projects I’ve headed at the company were all successful too.”

Showing Shin Ha-ri the list of his accomplishments and background, Kang Tae-mu reveals his talents and skills to Ha-ri for her to be able to get to know him better. He even claims that his only problem is that he excels at everything.

Correspondingly, the presentation moves from his achievements to his experience of falling in love while studying in New York. Ha-ri was supposed to object to the idea because she had never studied abroad, but Cha Sung Hoon explains that because Mr. Kang has been there for two years, it is the most appropriate backstory to construct.

Putting together a background for Shin Ha-ri, both men invent the identities of her typical family members, including her mother, who is a doctor, her father, who is a lawyer, and her brother, who is a medical student.

Studying diligently to ensure she makes no mistakes, Ha-ri concentrates on the notes she prepared to memorize while accompanying her fake boyfriend. She informs Jin Young Seo that the more she knows about him, the more ridiculous he appears to be.

“If you’re scared, then while we’re inside, try to love me for real.”

Prior to facing Mr. Kang’s grandfather, Ha-ri worries and thinks that she should’ve taken something to calm her nerves. Tae-mu reminds her of her words and tells her that she can do it according to her.

However, since Mr. Cha reminded her that her grandfather is a stern and frightening person, she feels more nervous than before and even doubts whether he would detect that both of them are lying to him.

On the other hand, Tae-mu simply instructs Ha-ri that if she is afraid, she should make an effort to truly love him when they are inside.

Throughout the meeting, the conversation between Ha-ri and the chairman flows smoothly, but something dulls Tae-mu’s mood when she mentions the day they first met, when it was raining in New York.

Inviting Ha-ri to grab some steamed buns, Tae-mu signals her to decline his grandfather’s offer, but she gladly accepts it.

Afterwards, while they are having the steamed buns, Ha-ri gains relief from Tae-mu’s grandfather as she learns that he is not as strict and scary as Sung Hoon had described him.

Upon accidentally dropping her bag, the contents fall outside, and Chairman Kang assists her in retrieving her belongings until he finds today’s concert tickets. Conversely, Chairman Kang convinces Tae-mu to forego his business for one day in order to spend time with his girlfriend.

“Instead of a fake relationship, why don’t you try a real one?”

Arriving at the concert, Ha-ri attempts to arrange an escape for the two of them, but Chairman Kang refuses to go until he sees them enter.

After attending the concert, Ha-ri and Tae- mu are wandering in circles. It was because of what transpired during the concert. Ha-ri’s tickets, which she received from her longtime crush, wish her the best of luck in attending the event with her boyfriend.

Tae-mu, who has no idea how to console someone, nonetheless manages to console Ha-ri’s weary heart. Ha-ri later expresses gratitude to him for attending the event with her and apologizes for making him a pitiful person.

Wondering where they are now, Tae-mu, is likewise unsure since he was only following her. With her stomach grumbling, Ha-ri and Tae-mu dine at a tteokbokki food stand.

Receiving a call from someone, Ha-ri excuses herself and answers the call. Unfortunately, with her mind preoccupied, she was unaware that a ball was heading straight for her, striking her left eye.

Offering her a cup of ice, Tae-mu asks whether she can let him know if she is cold. Ha-ri then suggests that instead of a pretend relationship, he can consider a genuine one. Therefore, he will not waste his time if he believes the relationship is more valuable to him.

Business Proposal Episode 3 Musings

Business Proposal episode 3 consistently delivers an entertaining story that is ideal for fans looking for a feel-good drama to kick off the week.

Parading the accidental kiss, comforting without realizing it, and offering a gift were not covered in the fake couple’s contract. And yet, it appears as though the love pairing will inevitably fall in love.

Additionally, as we have seen in this episode when Tae-mu smiles in response to unwrapping Shin Ha-ri’s gift. It is one thing that demonstrates their relationship is real, even if they are faking it.

Expressing his disdain as he watched his grandfather watch a tv show, unable to believe that something like that could ever happen in real life. However, it obviously occurs between Ha-ri and him when they both accidentally kiss each other on the lips.

Likewise, it was rather humorous how Chairman Kang looked like their Cupid, aiming his arrows at both of their hearts as he triumphantly compelled them to attend the concert and spend quality time together.

Furthermore, a question remains for us that we will likely uncover in the upcoming episodes of Business Proposal. And that is, why did Tae-mu detest Ha-ri’s idea of their “first meeting in New York, when it was raining?

Above all, regardless of how radiant a person appears on the outside, there comes a time when she reaches her breaking point, and the way Kim Sejeong depicted that scenario in this episode reassures us that it is okay to feel like melting down when we are actually hurting deep inside.

Take your dose of happy pills and witness the lighthearted narrative of Business Proposal on Netflix!
