At the interview, her age and recent surgery were questioned. But she makes a moving speech that impressed the doctors.

“My husband also didn’t tell me that you work here.”

Initially declined by Gusan Medical Hospital, Jeong-suk surprises her husband and Seung-hi when they see her at the hospital.

Apparently, a slot was opened and given to Jeong-suk.

While diligently working to not cause trouble with fellow residents, there arw instances that she gropes her way to the routine.

Lucky for Seung-hi, she finds an opportunity to transfer Jeong-suk to the surgery department. Now working with her husband and son, her resident training gets more challenging.

Doctor Cha Episode 3 Musings

Proving its rightful weekend spot for its highly amusing value, Doctor Cha is a surprising treat perfect not just for mothers but for the whole family.

What’s more interesting is the fresh humor it delivers smartly and sparingly. Comparing Director Kim Dae-jin’s previous dramas to his latest work is also quite amazing. He’s able to bring out a novelty to the usual Korean medical dramas we’ve seen thus far.

Jeong-suk’s bold determination to achieve a dream of her own no matter how late put her on realistic realizations. That the physical and mental challenges are not to be taken lightly. Also, she will end up limiting her usual roles as a mother.

We saw her daughter I-rang manifest the aftermath of Jeong-suk’s choice as she verbally complained about not getting the same care her brother had.

Not only that, Jeong-suk’s mother-in-law even took her disapproval to meet Jeong-suk’s mother to convince her to drop joining the residency program.

It won’t take long before she will also catch up on her husband’s infidelity. We are also rooting for her to get a divorce and even find a new love that is truly real.
