After all the rumors that Tae-sung faced, his scars from the past came to life again in the latest episodes of Shooting Stars.
Meanwhile, Ho-Young, Yoo-Sung, and Ki-beum finally recognized their feelings.

Eu Si-Woo’s Press Conference
Since the rumors are too much for Tae-sung to handle, his mother Si-woo holds a press conference to clear the issues. All cameras and eyes are upon her, all waiting for her answer.
Meanwhile, Tae-sung quietly sits in his room while watching the conference. Si-woo retells the story of the time she fell in love. She also admits that she got pregnant and bears a child.
Later on, she announces that Tae-sung is her son and asks everyone to clear his name because he doesn’t deserve to be criticized in that way. Tae-sung isn’t happy with what her mother did because he was not informed about this.
He also got mad at Han-byeol because she allowed the event to happen without consulting him first. They quarrel and take time without each other. However, Tae-sung misses Han-byeol a lot and eventually talks to her.
Han-Byeol also reveals to Tae-sung the reason why her mother came back to Korea.
Lee Yoon-Woo’s Story
On the other hand, Tae-sung’s best friend, Yoon-Woo, who died years ago, ignited the guilt in everyone. Yoon-woo is also friends with Han-byeol and Ki-beum.
Tae-sung, Han-byeol, and Ki-beum feel they contributed to why Yoon-woo took his life. They keep questioning themselves that they did not do their best to talk to him.
During their high school days, Tae-sung met Yoon-woo. He doesn’t like him that much because Yoon-woo is always smiling. As they bond together and get closer, Tae-sung discovers that Yoon-woo is having a rough time because of his family.
Throughout the years, Tae-sung still holds the guilt inside his heart. However, he knows that it’s already time to let go of the past.
Ho-Young and Yoo-Sung’s New Relationship
On a lighter note, Ho-young’s confession to Yoo-sung became an instrument for them to realize that they have mutual feelings. Since they are working together for a long time in the same entertainment company, they have already built a firm foundation of a relationship.
When Ho-Young confessed, she’s isn’t sure if Yoo-sung would accept her feelings. However, when they were walking, Yoo-sung admits that there’s only one person he pats on the head, and that’s Ho-young.
Eventually, Yoo-sung also confesses his feelings to Ho-young. He’s a bit ashamed because he wanted to be one to admit his feelings first. Ho-young’s heart is glowing because she found his true love.
Meanwhile, Ki-beum, talks to Han-byeol about the man that she likes. Recently, she’s having deep conversations with Soo-hyuk. While talking to him, Ki-beum knows that she’s starting to like Soo-hyuk.
The Reconciliation
To give closure to Tae-sung’s conflict with his mother, Han-byeol told him the purpose why she came back to Korea. Si-woo is slowly losing her memories, and she wants to apologize to Tae-sung before it’s too late.
Tae-sung talks to her mother, and Si-woo explains the reasons behind her behavior years ago. She admits that she lacks the character of a mother, but she wholeheartedly loves him.
As they talk, Tae-Sung cannot hold his tears anymore because he’s holding them for too long now. After announcing that Tae-Sung is her child, Si-Woo’s planning to leave the country. In the end, she hugs Tae-Sung tightly, and this time, Tae-Sung hugs her back.
Shooting Stars Episode 13 & 14 Musings
Now that the issue of Si-woo and Tae-sung is resolved, it’s heartwarming that they end up on good terms. Repressed emotions demand to be free because, in the long run, it will only make us suffer.
Tae-sung and Han-byeol’s guilt which is also held back for a long time needs to be fixed. It’s hard when someone close to you passes away. It’s even harder if we think that we did something wrong that makes their heart tormented.
However, just like Tae-sung said, it’s not good to stay in the same phase forever, and letting go is a must. This mindset is admirable to Tae-sung because he knows that life isn’t always a bed of roses.
Moreover, congratulations to Yoo-sung and Ha-young because their feelings finally met. We can expect that the couple would make our hearts flutter just like Han-Byeol and Tae-Sung do. We should also wait in the rising romance between Ki-beum and Soo-syuk!
