Jinxed At First Episode 15 & Finale Highlights
“I’m going to disband Geumhwa Group. I’ll donate all the money I get from selling the company to the society. I think in this way, I can stop the curse that our family has accumulated for generations. I’m sorry for disappointing you.”
Finally deciding to break the curse that runs in their bloodline, Seon Min-joon sells the “kingdom” his family created for many years. That way, it has root of Seon Sam-joong, Seon Il-joong, and Seon Dong-shik’s craving for greed and power.
In this way, Min-joon can stop the true “curse” passed down in their family – division. Additionally, Min-joon made sure that his father’s sacrifice will not turn void and become the key for their family to reunite.
“Fortunately, I still have some ability left. So, I want to use the only ability left on us. So, please leave me a happy memory. Promise me, please.”
On the other hand, Seon Sam-joong and Mi-soo spent days with each other after being “enemies” for a long time. To also fix the wrong decisions Mi-soo did before, she uses the last drop of her magic to remove Sam-joong’s curse.
Before sacrificing herself for her true love, Mi-soo’s heart is at peace knowing that Seul-bi will have a bright future with Soo-kwang. She then successfully removed Sam-joong’s curse and spent her remaining hours with him.
“Soo-kwang. Even if we’re apart because of something and become distant from each other, please always shine like that star so that I can find you.”
Seon Dong-shik continues his plan to steal Geumhwa Group and Lee Seul-bi. After plotting to lock up his father in jail, Dong-shik threatens Seul-bi by kidnapping Chief Wang and planting time bombs in Geumhwa Hotel.
With that, Seul-bi followed Dong-shik’s orders and went to the warehouse where he is hiding. On the other hand, Soo-kwang found out that Seul-bi was kidnapped and immediately rescued her from Dong-shik.
Furthermore, Seul-bi’s prophesy about Soo-kwang’s death happened as he took the bullet from Dong-shik. However, Seul-bi’s anger revealed her witch form as she reversed time to prevent Soo-kwang’s death.
Seul-bi’s use of a huge amount of power happens to break her necklace but also removed all of her memories. As time reversed, her necklace was the only thing that remained, and Seul-bi disappeared in thin air.
“I don’t remember, but I like you. I just like you. You’re like a prince.”
Nevertheless, Dong-shik was captured by the police, and the curse that runs in the Seon Family was shifted to him. In spite of breaking the bloodline of the goddesses of luck, Lee Seul-bi is still nowhere to be found.
Soo-kwang never misses a day without searching for Seul-bi since he holds onto the promise Seul-bi asked of him. Together with the vendors of Seodong Market, Chief Wang, and Dae-shik, Soo-kwang got a lead and this time, they found Seul-bi.
Soo-kwang also found out that Seul-bi lost her memories. He never gave up helping her to regain her memories then soon gained her trust and persuaded Seul-bi to return to her true home.
When her family in Seodong Market heard this great news, they prepared a “performance” to help Seul-bi recall her memories of them. Still, Seul-bi can’t regain her memories but this doesn’t hinder her from rewriting her love story with Soo-kwang and making her dreams come true.

Jinxed At First Series Peak Points
Seohyun’s Character Transformation + Princess-Inspired Wardrobe
From the first episode until the last, Seohyun stunned us with her princess-like transformation. She also looks effortlessly look good in her attire and her golden-colored hair makes her character unique.
In every episode, Seohyun and the wardrobe team always surprise us with her outfit and inspired us to elevate our wardrobes. Undoubtedly, the Lee Seul-bi is made and is only for Seohyun.
Furthermore, her acting shines through in Jinxed At First and became her own stage to exhibit her capabilities in acting. Portraying a goddess of luck, the actress became our luck charm and infects us with a good virus with her bright aura.
Seodong Market
As Seul-bi first steps out from her “tower,” she got to know the real world in a small place in Seodong Market. Figuratively, a market offers many things such as food, clothes, and even fortune telling.
Additionally, with the stories of the Seodong Market vendors, Seul-bi got to see the world with their different personalities and the moral lessons they left for her. In all sincerity, the characters of the Seodong Market added more color and value to the series.
Even though their characters are not perfectly written, the cast did an amazing performance in portraying their roles. They made the series more fun and removes any bad vibes.
Jinxed At First Series Peak Musings
A Promising Series That Went Down The Drain
In the first half of the series, the drama went smoothly with its light tone where Seul-bi faces the real world with Soo-kwang and the Seodong Market vendors. However, it started going south as it near its climax and left unanswered questions.
There’s no arguing that Na In Woo, Seohyun, and the rest of the cast made an effort to make a series a success. Still, it is not enough to make a second half good as the first half.
Few of the many loopholes are seen in the story of Mi-soo and Sam-joong. Despite there being many flashbacks, it is not clearly narrated why Mi-soo left Sam-joong and why she did not tell Seul-bi that Sam-joong is her father.
In addition, their last scene was also confusing regarding what happened to Mi-soo. As she removed Sam-joong’s curse, it is not clear if she died in that time or became unconscious only.
Then, there was another scene where Mi-soo is still alive and took her last breath in Sam-joong’s arms. With many loopholes similar to this, the series then became hard to enjoy watching.
Redeeming Performance
Nevertheless, a performance from Choi Jung Woo as Seon Dong-shik adds the thrill that we’ve been craving for this series. With his character, he gradually steals the spotlight and showcased his acting prowess which surprised us.
He perfectly embodied a Dong-shik who is slowly trapped in a curse because of greed and power inherited from his bloodline. From the beginning to the end, we saw how these transformed him into a true monster.
Like the rest of the cast, Choi also gave his best to deliver a good performance and that passion from the cast is one of the charms Jinxed At First left for us. Despite having many discrepancies, the series is still worth the watch to those who want a feel-good drama and give chance to these exceptional casts.
