The two popular Korean artists are confirmed in a light crime entertainment movie.
Gentleman tells the story of a president of a company who gets entangled in a huge case to get rid of a murder frame. To clear his name, he works together with a prosecutor to untangle the situation.
With Ju Ji Hoon and Han So Hee onboard the project, filming begins in August with a projected release next year.
Featuring the fresh combination of talented and renowned actors, expectations rise for the film. Actively working in big and small screens, Ju has established himself with works including The Spy Gone North, Along With The Gods, Kingdom and more.
He takes the role of Ji Hyun-soo, the president of Heungshin Cultural Center at the center of the chaos.
Meanwhile, Han So Hee suits up as Kim Hwa-jin, an elite, hot-tempered prosecutor. This film marks the actress’ first movie venture. Her notable works include The World of the Married and Nevertheless.
Produced by TRICKSTER, and co-produced by H& Entertainment, director Kim Kyung Won, who received the critics’ attention for The Artist: Reborn will helm the series.
Gentleman is the first project in the Wavve movie investment fund. It will be released as an exclusive movie for a monthly fee through Wavve after it premieres in theaters in May 2022.
Meanwhile, Wavve is working with C47 Investment to create a 40 billion won private equity fund (PEF) to secure original movie content.
The fund, which is scheduled to be operated for the purpose of investing in 100% wave original content, is expected to be created with a total of 40 billion won by early next year.
UPDATE
On August 4, U-ATTO Entertainment announced that Han So Hee will be getting off the project.
