Hwang Jung Min Is A Celebrity Held Captive In Upcoming Film “The Hostage”

Hwang Jung Min is back in full swing as himself as the missing celebrity in The Hostage!

A reality action thriller film The Hostage is coming on screen this summer. Next Entertainment World (NEW) launched the stalled movie poster that captivated the attention of many. 

Directed and written by Pil Kam Sung, the action thriller film expects to show different feels. Rookie director, Pil Kam Sung, led peculiar films such as; “What Promise” and “Shades Of Weapons.”

Interestingly, The Hostage takes an interesting twist. It narrates the story of  Korean top star actor Hwang Jung Min. Without any witnesses, Hwang Jung Min sees himself fighting for survival at the hands of his kidnappers. 

The published poster of the film draws attention that features Hwang Jung Min. With ropes and green tape binds in his arms, Jung Min wears a stained suit. On his cream-colored suit, his name “Hwang Jung Min” is written.

In addition, the actor has submerged in thriller and crime genres. He made himself known in The Spy Gone North, Deliver Us From Evil, The New World, and other action-packed films.

His film Ode To My Father, known as International Market, drew 4.35 million viewers last summer. 

The Hostage becomes Hwa Jung Min’s third project under the production company, Filmmaker R&K. This production company is known for its notable films every summer. 

Under the production of Filmmaker R&K, Veteran and Exit became a hit movie all around the world.

The 2015 film, Veteran, also starrs Hwang Jung Min in the lead role. It drew 13.4 million audiences, making Veteran the “5th all-time highest-grossing film in South Korea’s film industry.”

On the other hand, Exit is a 2019 film led by Jo Jung Suk (Hospital Playlist, Oh My Ghost) and Im Yoon Ah (The K2, The King In Love). The movie attracted 9.4 million viewers.
