Kim Young Kwang & Lee Sun Bin’s “Mission Possible” Tops Weekend Box Office

Upon its first weekend release, Mission Possible achieved an impressive feat!

The film starring Kim Young Kwang and Lee Sun Bin took the top spot for week covering took the top spot in the box office for three days on the weekend of the 19th and 21st. Gathering 13,373 over the weekend, the cumulative number of audiences reached 180,884. Upon its launch on February 17, it led the currently showing films with 26,010 admissions.

Mission Possible tells the story of a former secret agent and a private detective who strategically collaborating to resolve the arms trafficking case. Not only did it record a high on-site reservation rate among the most prominent foreign currencies, but also received favorable reviews for its action and comedy elements.

Rounding up the top 5 films in the weekend box office are Disney-Pixar animated film, Soul and Japanese animation movie, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train in 2nd and 3rd places. Included in the roster are Korean romantic comedy, New Year’s Eve and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire which was reopened in theaters.

Currently, Kim Young Kwang is starring in new drama Hello, Me! with Choi Kang Hee. Meanwhile, Lee Sun Bin last worked in the drama Team Bulldog: Off-Duty Investigation.
