Space Sweepers Trailer: An intriguing glimpse to a dystopian future

Based on the official trailer, Planet Earth in the year 2092 is in a catastrophic state. Soon humans could no longer call it home as it is becoming desolate and unlivable. A perfect alternative environment has been established in space for UTS citizens to address the problem. As people travel to get out of Earth, they leave a lot of space debris in their wake.

Spaceship Victory and its crew members collect and sell these debris. The crew, composed of genius space pilot Tae Ho (Song Joong Ki), enigmatic ex-pirate Captain Jang (Kim Tae Ri), spaceship engineer Tiger Park (Jin Sun Kyu) and a reprogrammed military robot Bubs (voiced by Yoo Hai Jin) is considered the best space sweepers out there.

In one of their sweeps, Spaceship Victory successfully hauls in a smashed space shuttle with a 7-year-old girl inside. They soon find out that the seemingly innocent little girl is a humanoid wanted by UTS Space Guards and that she is extremely dangerous. The crew comes up with the decision to ask for money in exchange of the human-like robot. Little did they know that this encounter might turn them into heroes who saved the world.

Space Sweepers will be available in Netflix on February 5, 2021 at 4PM Philippine Standard Time.
