The Moon depicts the struggle between Seonwoo, a space crew member stranded on the moon alone due to an accident, and Jaeguk, the former head of the space center desperately trying to save him.

The film has released four eye-catching teaser posters and a teaser trailer.
The four teaser posters show the lunar vehicle running urgently on the surface of the moon where the dangerous meteor shower is pouring endlessly; Jae-guk (Sol Kyung Gu), former head of the Naro Space Center, Korean space crew Seon-woo (Do Kyung Soo), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) main director Moon-yeong (Kim Hee Ae).
Accordingly, the posters capture the different emotions of the three characters in their respective positions. The first manned spaceship Woori, Korea’s first lunar exploration, encounters an unexpected solar wind and is in distress.
Isolated Astronaut
Left alone in the vast sea of space, Seon-woo desperately needs a helping hand from the Earth, which is 384,000 km away from the moon. Former space center director Jae-guk, who was in charge of Korea’s lunar exploration, asks NASA main director Moon-young for help to save Seon-woo, but it is unclear whether this request will be accepted.
The teaser posters stimulate curiosity by showing the helplessness of Sunwoo, who is isolated on the moon, and Jaeguk and Moon-young who are faced with the difficulties of saving him on Earth.
Accordingly, the teaser trailer released together depicts the dangerous and urgent journey that Korea’s first lunar exploration spacecraft had to face. The excitement of stepping on the moon for the first time is short-lived, and Seon-woo sprints in a lunar vehicle to avoid the meteor shower that falls in all directions.
Jae-guk, Moon-yeong, and the staff at the Space Center watch with bated breath to ensure that Seon-woo is all right. In particular, the appearance of Seon-woo shouting desperately at the end of the preview video along with a copy of ‘Korea astronaut isolated on the Moon’ arouses curiosity.
Seol Kyung Gu expressed his confidence in the new story that director Kim Yong-hwa will unfold against the backdrop of a real-life universe, saying, “The story of human beings is melted into the vast spectacle of the universe.”
The Moon, which provides an overwhelming sense of immersion with the hyperreal moon and universe story, and reliable actors who have completed in-depth characters, will be released in theaters nationwide on August 2nd.
