tvN’s Europe Outside the Tent, directed by Lee Min-jeong and Yoon Jae-won, is a refreshing camping entertainment show where participants explore Europe in a laid-back manner.
Instead of hotels, they use camping sites, travel by rental cars instead of trains, and shop at local supermarkets rather than dining in restaurants. Earlier this year, the show featured a female cast for the first time, bringing laughter with their candid and easy-going charm in the South of France.
The season achieved a peak viewership rating of 11.3%, securing the top spot in its time slot for 11 consecutive episodes across both metropolitan and nationwide household and target viewership ratings, showcasing the enduring popularity of this hit show (Nielsen Korea, based on paid platforms).
In the upcoming season, camping expert Ra Mi Ran will be joined by Kwak Sun Young, Lee Joo Bin, and Lee Se Young as they embark on an adventure to the Adriatic Sea.
This season promises to explore Europe’s hidden gems, rapidly gaining popularity as travel destinations, ranging from the Adriatic Sea to the Dolomites.
Ra Mi Ran, who demonstrated her expertise as a 15-year camping veteran in the previous season, will once again share the joys of camping with viewers and the three new participants.
After gaining new insights and skills from her first international camping experience in Southern France, Ra Mi Ran plans to showcase the essence of European camping, enhanced by her newfound knowledge. As a former multi-food center director in Southern France, she is also expected to bring innovative camping cuisine using local ingredients.
Kwak Sun Young, known for her versatile roles in dramas, movies, musicals, and plays like Hospital Playlist, Moving, and Crash, will be trying camping and traveling to Europe for the first time. Her participation in ‘Europe Outside the Tent’ holds special significance, marking her debut in both camping and European travel.
Lee Joo Bin, who has recently gained popularity with the drama Queen of Tears and the blockbuster film Crime City 4, will also join the cast. Known for her love of camping, hiking, and solo driving during her free time, Lee Joo-bin will serve as Ra Mi-ran’s right hand, bringing her own camping experience to the show. Lastly, Lee Se Young, a trusted and versatile actor famous for The Red Sleeve, will play the youngest member of the group.
