Guide To Korean Tourist Visa Application For Filipino Travelers

Philippine Hallyu fans and travelers, ready your passport and requirements as the Korean tourist visa application officially opens.

Walk-in application is once again open for tourist along with applications channeled through designated travel agencies. As of writing, the official list of travel agencies is not yet released. Stay tuned for the official announcement.

From Monday to Friday, the application is open from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM PHT. The processing time for the application is within five days. Kindly take note that the daily application limit may be set depending on the volume of visa applications received.

Visa-Free Vacation On Jeju Island and Yang Yang + Seoul

In case you have been eyeing Jeju Island and the beautiful Yang Yang, you can pack your bags and plan your vacation right away.

According to a post from Korea Tourism Organization Manila, Korea will allow visa-free entry through Jeju and Yangyang international airports starting June 1. Thereby, resuming a visa-waiver program that has been suspended for more than two years due to the pandemic.

To enter Yangyang, it must be a group of 5 or more members to be accredited and can stay up to 15 days in Korea. Upon visiting, the group can also visit the nearby cities including Seoul, but need to fly back to the Philippines via Yangyang airport.
For Jeju, tourists can stay up to 30 days. However, transferring to other places rather than Jeju is prohibited.
Upon visiting Yangyang, tourists can easily visit the nearby places such as Gangneung, Jumunjin, Nami Island, Goblin filming location, BTS music video filming locations and more.
