K-drama fans are in for a special treat as Go Kyung Pyo will be making a special appearance in My Roommate is a Gumiho!
Go Kyung Pyo goes all the way in supporting his Reply 1988 co-star Lee Hyeri by making a cameo on her latest series My Roommate is a Gumiho.
The stars of the hit series Reply 1988 are publicly known to be good friends in real life. And with the upcoming mini-reunion of the two, fans will surely be more excited than ever.
Through a news article released on June 1, the actor confirmed that he is indeed making a small appearance. On June 15, teaser photos were released by tvN heightening the fans’ expectations.
Based on a popular adaptation of the webtoon Living Together, My Roommate is a Gumiho depicts the story of a handsome yet really old gumiho (Jang Ki Yong) who has been trying to become a human for over 900 years. While he almost reached his goal, his fox bead gets accidentally swallowed by a 20-year old college student (Lee Hyeri).
The romantic-comedy series also features Start-Up co-stars Kang Han Na and Kim Do Wan. It was written by Baek Sun Woo and Choi Bo Rim, and directed by Nam Sung Woo.
Previously, veteran actor Kim Eung Soo and lovely actress Han Ji Eun also made their special appearances in the drama.
Raising expectations for its top-billed cast, Jung So Min (Because This Is My First Life) was also hinted to have a short appearance in the future episode.
Particularly, Go Kyung Pyo was mentioned in the virtual casting of My Roommate is a Gumiho made by the netizens. Having similar visual features to the original webtoon, fans are looking forward to the kind of character Go Kyung Pyo will portray through his appearance in the drama.
My Roommate is a Gumiho airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 PM KST.
