The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim Episode 5 Key Moments
“This place is run by a shaman. I’ve seen her going inside.”
Standing outside the examination room, Jo Soo-jung and another classmate gossip about Ga Doo Shim and why she goes to the Beautiful Clairvoyant? They also talk about why she was at Woo-soo’s place and if they are dating.
Soo-jung is planning to discover the whole truth. But what would happen when she knows about the evil spirit? Or what if she already knows about it?
“It’s not suicide. I am sure there’s a murderer.”
Na Woo Soo and Ga Doo Shim are getting closer day by day. While Woo-soo thanks her for helping Il-nam, they end up sharing their worries about the evil spirit.
Na Woo is 100% sure that these deaths are not at all suicides – someone is deliberately killing students with the lowest grades.
“Someone came in here. No, she’s not a spirit. She’s alive.”
Back at Woo-soo’s place, he finds it difficult to concentrate with ghosts whispering around. He finally decides to give up and listen to their stories, but in return, they would have to hear his too.
He confesses what effect Doo-shim has on him – making his heartbeat whenever she’s near. Even thoughts about her would make him excited. This all was completely new. I guess this is all that they call – the “first love”.
“You’d rather die than letting your friends know your mom is a shaman.”
When Doo-shim got home, she finds Soo-jung outside her house. Before she could say anything, her mother ended up telling her everything, assuming she was just a friend of Doo Shim.
Soo Jung promises to keep the secret with her, but who knows that she won’t use it against her to get Woo-soo back.
“I am sick of talking about spirits. Just drop it.”
Doo Shim is a bit scared, thinking about the possibility if her secret of being a shaman is out. With all her fears clouding in her mind, she burst out all her anger on Na Woo Soo, asking him to stop talking about his adventures with the spirits, and stomped away.
“Am I dead? I didn’t do it. I didn’t want to die!”
After walking away from Woo Soo, she walks back to the school building. And remembers her first day at school. As soon as she entered the school, she sensed something fishy. And the bloodstains on the footpath were not a good sign – someone was about to die. She sprinted as fast as she could but the boy had already jumped.
It was always a mystery why there was not a single spirit of the dead students who jumped of the roof – their spirits were burned as soon as they died. (Hyun Soo was just an exception because Doo Shim tried saving her)
“Doo Shim, I heard that your mom is a shaman.”
As soon she enters the class, she sees students whispering around her. Soon one of them asks her about being a shaman. It feels as if her world inside starts shattering. She looks at Soo Jung who has an evil smirk on her face – she knew Soo Jung is not going to keep the truth to her, but she was not prepared for it to happen so soon.
“I gave you the expected questions. They were about the same.”
After knowing that Il-Nam is the student with the lowest grades, anger boils up in Woo-soo. Not because he had scored less, but he didn’t want to lose his best friend to the hands of the evil spirit.
After having a fistfight, he wants to take him far far away from this school building to do everything he could to save him.
But before they could, Woo Soo senses the spirit around.
Will the spirit kill them? or will Woo Soo and Doo Shim team up to save him in the end?
The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim Episode 5 Musings
Saying this episode amplified my curiosity to know what would happen next, won’t be wrong.
A well-balanced mixture of melodrama, jealousy, action, and of course, the sprouting love between our lead, is the best medicine to my worries and stress.
Portraying the lives of students in their prime, and all the problems they face in their environment is what makes it so close to my heart. And with the addition of the fictional character of the evil spirit makes it the best series for the exorcism-lovers.
At the point where we saw Kyung Pil (principal of Song Young school) letting the spirit escape and kill the students, we released how interesting the next episodes would be – finding out the culprit behind and saving the school would be a next-level adventure for this ghost-catching duo!
