After succeeding in opening Gye-hoon’s restaurant, Da-hyun is surprised to see an empty refrigerator where they hid Jin-geun’s body. Now that her attacker’s body is missing, Da-hyun and her family suffer from trauma and start to become anxious about their surroundings.
Being able to feel Da-hyun’s emotions made it clear to Gye-hoon that a serious incident happened to her. With that, he starts to make her feel better by cooking and drinking with her whenever she wakes up from a nightmare. Da-hyun’s suspicions of Gye-hoon fade as she gets to know him more.
“He’s my younger brother.”
Noh Da-hyun and her family’s secrets are close to being unveiled as Jin-geun’s sister arrives at Jihwa-dong to find her missing brother. Since the town is small, she easily finds Da-hyun, who she thinks is the cause of her brother’s disappearance.
Like her brother’s odd personality, she weirds out Da-hyun with her comments about her. Intentionally, she applies to Gye-hoon’s restaurant where Da-hyun will also be working.
Furthermore, Da-hyun and her family’s anxiousness increases as the police officers became suspicious of them. Police officer Won-tak finally questions Da-hyun after their last visit to the station.
From his interrogation, he confirms that she and her family is hiding a secret. However, Won-tak let Da-hyun go and takes on a different case that can give light to their mystery.
“The most notable thing is that the culprit still lives in this neighborhood, shamelessly living his life acting like “catch me if you can.”
As Eun Gye-hoon connects the clues he has with a letter he received twenty years ago, the sender still marks in his memories for turning his father to the police. His questions are still left unanswered as to what pushes the sender to reveal his father’s crimes.
Specifically, the man they captured was Gye-young’s piano teacher. However, the missing person case years ago unfolds more mystery as it still hasn’t been resolved after many suspects are brought in.
Officer Young-hwan reveals to other new officers the mystery of this specific case. He also admits to knowing the culprit but can’t arrest him because of his perfect alibi.
“I want to live my life however I want to whether it’s good or bad.”
On the other hand, Da-hyun and her relationship with her mother became more nervous as she revealed her condition back in Seoul. This made Bok-hee disappointed, knowing that her hard work wasn’t enough and that their neighbors will mock them again.
Da-hyun then starts to speak for herself and corrected her mother that she is not born to pursue others’ dreams that they failed to fulfill. She finally decides to work for Gye-hoon as a new start in her life.
As the two grew fondness for each other, Jin-hoo is secretly helping Gye-hoon to confirm Da-hyun’s identity. He then takes hair samples from them that he will be using for DNA testing.
“Can you kill someone for me? I saw everything.”
To calm her anger and anxiousness, Da-hyun’s mother decides to join her mother in dance aerobics with their other neighbors. Even so, the two receive the opposite as one of their neighbor, Jo Jae-sook, ask for a shocking request.
Recently, police officers visited her after they received a domestic violence report which she denies. During the night when Bok-hee hides Jin-geun’s body, Jae-sook witnesses it as she runs away from her abusive husband.
With that, Jae-sook made a deal with the two to kill someone in exchange for keeping their secret. On the other hand, Da-hyun also confesses to Gye-hoon that she killed someone.
