Premiering on August 23, The Frog promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats with its gripping storyline and chilling atmosphere.
The Frog follows a group of ordinary people whose tranquil lives are disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious guest.
Leading the cast is seasoned actor Kim Yun Seok (Noryang: Deadly Sea, Escape from Mogadishu) as Young-ha, the owner of a serene pension in the woods. His calm is shattered by the enigmatic Seong-a, played by Go Min Si (Sweet Home), who delivers a chilling performance, as seen in the trailer where she cries out, covered in blood.
Also starring are Yoon Kye Sang (The Kidnapping Day) as Sang-jun, the owner of a rural motel whose peace is similarly disturbed by an unexpected guest, and Lee Jung Eun (Miss Night and Day, Daily Dose of Sunshine) as the sharp-witted cop investigating the cases of both Young-ha and Sang-jun.
Accordingly, The Frog has dropped four main posters.
The contrasting posters draw attention: Young-ha is shown with a thoughtful expression in a sunlit forest, while Seong-ah appears eerie in a rain-drenched forest. This contrast builds tension around the impending catastrophe that ‘Young-ha’, who manages a secluded pension, faces upon the arrival of the unexpected guest Seong-ah.
Similarly, the posters of Sang-jun, staring blankly, and Bo-min, seemingly observing everything through an open door, intrigue viewers. They suggest a mysterious incident involving Sang-jun, who operates a lakeside motel, and Bo-min, a former ace of the violent crimes unit and current police chief.
