KBS 2TV just unveiled the main poster for Secret Royal Inspector – and yes, let the investigations begin!
Top-billed by Kim Myung Soo, Kwon Na Ra and Lee Yi Kyung, the year-end historical drama attracts attention for its premise.
Scheduled to air on KBS 2TV, the new series is about a secret royal investigator who goes undercover to expose and fight corruption. He is also keen on solving people’s problem.
Plot Sketch
Secret Royal Inspector narrates the story of a secret investigator commissioned by the royal family set in Joseon era. His role helps eradicate corruption thereby relieving the people’s resentment against those evil deeds.
The revealed official poster hints on the main characters keen to set forth in the tasks given to them in their covert missions to eradicate crime and misdeeds.
Hinting anticipated chemistry among the main leads as clumsy but courageous group, they will make viewers remember the value of justice and sympathize with their missions.
Main Characters
Portraying the role of a librarian by day and delinquent gambler at night, Kim Myung Soo will be assigned to work as a secret inspector as punishment.
He enjoys the dual life of a bureaucrat and a hard worker. He has no ambitions and goals in life as he is more concerned in living in the present.
However, when his gambling activity gets exposed, he is punished to suit up as a secret royal inspector. His character stills displayed Sung Yi Gyeom’s personality who can be charming, resolute and funny.
Meanwhile, Kwon Na Ra portrays Hong Da In, a daughter of the royal family. Disguising as a courtesan, she is hiding her true identity because of a tragic incident that happened when she was a child.
In order to conduct her investigation into another family, she will join Sung Yi Gyeom. Hong Da In has a reputation for being the best courtesan renowned for her beauty and spunk. The images unveiled clearly depict those characteristics.
Versatile actor Lee Yi Kyung suits up as Park Chun-sam, who promises to delight as a member of the royal secret inspectors’ department. Chun Sam has been with Yi Gyeom’s family since childhood. He has grown up supporting Yi Gyeom for more than ten years at any given time and place.
He has no knowledge about his family so to him Yi Gyeom means more than just his master. Moreover, he has a pure heart and falls in love easily.
Creative Team
Grand Prince Director Kim Jung Min heads the production while writers Park Sung Hoon and Kang Min Sun both write the script.
Rounding up the main cast are Lee Yi Kyung, Han So Hee and Lee Tae Hwan.
