Wu Bai’s love journey hits another road block in episodes 11 and 12 of Go Go Squid 2 Dt.Appledog’s Time.
While we viewers feel that it is a rightly intended love, Ai Qing’s reservations to a blossoming fondness in her beating heart is understandable. We can only hope that Wu Bai’s earnest devotion would find his way to her heart.

“The fact that you like Ai Qing is no longer news to us.”
Catching Wu Bai contemplating on the unanswered message from Ai Qing, Shen Zhe coaches their love novice captain of giving space to her.
But Wu Bai can’t wait any longer so he looks for Ai Qing who is already preparing to leave the company. Receiving well wishes from her officemates, Ai Qing marches to a new beginning and surmises on the man who inspired him to keep on dreaming.
“I used to think my dream would fade away with my youth and become trivial like daily life. Now I found dreams are like seeds. They hibernate but don’t die. Thank you for giving me forget-me-not. Although I don’t know who you are, I feel that I have never been alone.”
Rushing to Ai Qing’s office, he learned that Ai Qing resigned and already left. At that same time, Ai Qing is seated at a salon to go back to her old haircut.
“I’ve detected dad’s happiness index is seriously insufficient. I’m here to cheer you up, you can tell me about it.”
The next day, she goes to SP’s headquarter to begin her new job. Wang Hao gave her a tour of the place and introduced her teammates. New and familiar faces make Ai Qing really happy reuniting with her old teammates.
Back at Team K&K, Wu Bai is in a bad mood that even his robot son Wu Liao felt it. Obliging to its offer, he vents out his woes of how he is happy to see Ai Qing returned to their world, but worries on the time she will spend with her ex-boyfriend.
Recommending a fix to play sad love songs to his dad, Wu Bai refuses and admits he wants to see her. Wang Hao chats about Team SP’s preparation for the competition and mentions how Ai Qing seems to think highly of Wu Bai.
He also spots Wu Bai from afar most likely waiting for Ai Qing. So, when she asked if they can have team dinner, he declines and points to someone looking for her.
Ai Qing says hi to the cute guy waiting for her. Going straight to the point, he asks if she came back because of Wang Hao. Her response put a faint smile on his face.
He asks her if he can take her to a place and while driving, she stares at his face.
“I don’t know when I fell in love with the boy in front of me. I know I must like him very much or I would not feel so reluctant right now. But I know he’s Han Shangyan’s cousin. He’s the captain of K&K. His both identities are reminding me who just returned to SP, I’m heading to the same old path.”
“Do you like me?”
Reaching the place, Wu Bai makes a move to confess to Ai Qing, but before he could do so, Ai Qing answered the question he asked three years ago on why Team Solo broke up.
She confesses how it was her fault and how her biggest wish is to have all team members lead a good life. Tears well in Wu Bai’s eyes listening to Ai Qing’s explanation of how their competitive situation is complicated to entertain personal feelings.
She tells him how some things are important than love. Both in the brink of tears, she says sorry and blames herself for not telling it sooner.
When he asked her if she likes him, she apologizes. He responds that she does not need to apologize. Holding back her tears, she walks away.
Wallowing in despair, both Ai Qing let the rain drenched her while Wu Bai bought a candy fortune jar and read each of the listed fortune.
When he went back to the camp, Han Shangyan sternly points at how his love aspiration to Ai Qing is not possible out of respect to Wang Hao being his friend. But Wu Bai counters that he is also a friend of his.
“Sorry. Wubai, I really like you so much.”
Enraged, Wu Bai sets off to leave the camp and goes to his grandfather’s house. He tells grandpa that his tummy is not feeling well and goes to his room. Robot Wu Liao introduces itself to grandpa and helps him with little errands.
Grandpa also demands Han Shangyan to return home and help decoct medicine for his younger cousin. Obeying their grandpa, Han Shangyan go to Wu Bai’s door to apologize and slips medicine to his room. Wu Bai picks it up and drink but heard his brother coming again with a medicine concoction.
Meanwhile, Ai Jin finds her sister embracing a globe in her sleep. Tears escape her eyes as she mumbles how she liked Wu Bai very much.
“You had a showdown with Wu Bai and you refused him.”
Team K&K draw lots to who will visit their captain, and Shen Zhe got the task. Grandpa greets him beamingly and from him he learns of Wu Bai’s love problem. Before Shen Zhe finished his detailed analysis of Ai Qings ex-boyfriend, Wu Bai interrupts to question what his Vice-Captain is doing.
Shen Zhe hurriedly leaves as Grandpa assures his grandson that he will be liked by Ai QIng because of his capabilities. Over at Ai Qing’s house, she listens to her sister learned about her love predicament with Wu Bai. Ai Jing tells her that she would eventually unable to escape in her fate of falling in love with him.
Back at Camp K&K, Shen Zhe tells the boys of Wu Bai’s stomach pain. He also confesses to 97 that he was probably dumped and its best for them not to involve themselves.
At team SP, Ai Qing meets the team for briefing and relays honest feedback plan that they need to execute for their goal.
“Hello, I’m Shen Zhe’s ex-girlfriend.”
Checking on her sister, Ai Jing chats about their love situations. When the doorbell rang, she opens the door to see a girl introducing herself as Shen Zhe’s ex-girlfriend. Receiving a text from Ai Jing that his ex-girlfriend is at her house, Shen Zhe frustratingly sighs and proceeds to fix the issue.
97 gave a detailed account of Xing Zhouzhou, Shen Zhe’s ex-GF cheated on him, but desperately wants to get back at him. Ai Jing asks why Shen Zhe is not talking and in the background, the ex-GF sobs. He tells his ex not to cry and orders her to leave the house immediately.
Bewildered at the situation she’s in, Ai Jing is even more surprised seeing Zhouzhou stopped crying as soon as she hung up. She further tries to console her, but the girl leaves after checking on her as a love rival.
Shen Zhe pleads to Ai Jing not to believe Zhouzhou, but she is mad at the situation she just got into. It forced Shen Zhe to go to her place. Still mad at him, Ai Jing refuses to converse and denies feeling the same adoration he has for her.
But nothing is hard to settle over a table with a hot guy almost topless confessing his love intention to a girl.
Go Go Squid 2 Dt.Appledog’s Time Episodes 11 & 12 Musings
Ai Jing and Shen Zhe are equally engrossing us with their love story. Their quirky flirtation makes you want to root for them. Will they kiss or not (hopefully they would), we are yet to see.
My heart literally broke for Wu Bai when he could not even properly said his love confession and listened to Ai Qing’s implied rejection of further getting closer. I really hope Ai Qing would find a way to liberate herself from blaming herself of Team Solo’s disbandment.
I wish she follows her heart instead because by doing so, who knows everything will fall on the right places.
With how she opted to hurt Wu Bai, she better make all his wait worth it.
Strongly paying attention on fulfilling dreams that seem way past the age of achieving it, the series encourages that as long as passion and commitment are there; you may halt and can still pick up from where you left off.
