My Little Happiness Quick Plot Recap
Cong-Rong (Fair Xing), aspires to be a lawyer. Without the consent of her mother, Cong Rong went to China to continue her dreams. In Daren Law Firm, Cong-Rong became an intern.
All the interns will be assigned to the company where their internship would take place. Unfortunately, Cong-Rong is assigned to a hospital where many interns don’t want to work to because of several reasons.
In the hospital, Cong-Rong met Wen Shao-Qing, a doctor who specializes in neurosurgery. Shao-Qing got the looks, popularity, and great skills as a doctor that’s why many women fall for him.
When Cong-Rong saw Shao-Qing, she recognized him immediately because it’s the same guy who helped a man in the airport that collapsed. However, besides Shao-Qing’s pleasing looks, he is kind of rude.
Later on, when Shao-Qing heard the name of Cong-Rong, her perspective changed because his childhood friend whom he waited for has the same name. To confirm if Cong-Rong is his childhood friend, he checked the scar on her forehead.
When Shao-Qing finally met Cong-Rong after many years, he hugged Cong-Rong and showed interest in her. As they continue to meet during Cong-Rong’s internship, they grew fond of each other and ignited a love that was once postponed.
My Little Happiness’s Peak Points
Fair Xing & Daddi Tang’s Chemistry
I’ve watched a lot of dramas where I can’t feel the chemistry of the lead actors. However, My Little Happiness showed an exemplary casting of actors, especially the character of Cong-Rong and Shao-Qing.
When I first saw Shao-Qing, my heart skipped a beat because he was so handsome. It’s the same with Cong-Rong, even though she’s small, her aura explodes with cuteness.
Throughout the story, I felt that their love for each other is genuine. There are no super hard problems that came their way because their relationship is so mature. Whenever Shao-Qing is jealous, he can handle it pretty well and understands Cong-Rong’s situation.
Added to their impactful chemistry are their sweet kisses. With all the episodes, their kisses are all romantic to me. Especially when Shao-Qing lowers his head to reach Cong-Rong and ends the kiss with a sweet smile.
Huang Li Yin & Leon Li’s Heartfelt Love Story
I must say as the drama goes on, there are times that I am more curious about what would happen to Wen-Rang (Leon Li) and Cheng-Cheng’s (Huang Li Yin) love story.
Wen-Rang owns a book shop and has a quiet personality. He is also the uncle of Shao-Qing. Wen-Rang wants to read books and enjoy peace. However, he still aches on what happened between him and his ex-girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Cheng-Cheng is Cong-Rong’s best friend. She is rich, but she wants to stand up on her own and opens a restaurant business beside Wen-Rang’s book shop.
As business neighbors, Cheng-Cheng approached Wen-Rang for a series of favors. As they continue to encounter, Cheng-Cheng begins to fall in love with Wen-Rang’s personality. However, when she decides to confess to him things aren’t easy.
Wen-Rang’s ex-girlfriend came back, and his heart needs to choose whom to love. In the end, Wen-Rang realized that he also fell for Cheng-Cheng, and cleared things for her.
In the end, the two of them became contented with each other and enjoyed small things like eating and hiking.
My Little Happiness Series Musings
The drama reached my expectations despite its’ simplicity. It’s simple for me because it depicts the everyday life of couples who need to accomplish their daily tasks to their jobs.
Cong-Rong and Shao-Qing’s relationship portrayed one of the biggest conflicts that every couple experienced: time.
When Cong-Rong starts officially working in a law firm, there are times when she works overtime. It’s the same for Shao-Qing because he needs to take care of his patients, especially during emergencies.
Their love story has been a lesson to every couple and how they should act when this problem occurs. Shao-Qing has been very good at waiting, he waited for Cong-Rong for many years, he always makes sure to take care of her after meeting her again.
In terms of Wen-Rang and Cheng-Cheng’s love story, it teaches me that there are things we need to let go of to move forward. Wen-Rang got stuck to his past, but Cheng-Cheng enlightens him that we should live in the present.
Their story made my heart flutter and cry at the same time. My heart aches for Cheng-Cheng when she’s heartbroken because of Wen-Rang. I am just glad that in the end, they reconciled to be with each other’s company.
Both the stories clearly say that love would find its’ way to you as long as you have a patient heart, and when this love came, make sure to not let it go.
My Little Happiness reflects the reality of love along with the perseverance that would complete one’s aspirations.
