1. Who Rules The World

Yang Yang fans rejoice! because viewers will witness him look ravishing in a period costume with long hair. Not to mention, he will be showing some martial arts action in this series which is definitely something to look forward to. In detail, Who Rules The World chronicles the story of Bei Feng Xi and Hei Feng Xi, centered in the violent mayhem of the Martial Arts world. Bai Feng Xi is majestic and untamed, whereas Hei Feng Xi is attractive and exquisite. They are polar opposites, like black and white, and they are unmatched in their abilities.
Subsequently, love start to flourish despite the blood that has been sacrificed in the last 10 years. Witness Yang Yang and Zhao Lusi’s tandem in this fabled wuxia romance of a decade-long passion and the journeys they venture on together.

2. Checkmate

Serving charisma and performance, Hu Yi Tian stars in this series with Zhang Yun Long and Zhang Xinyu. Following the success of “My Roommate Is A Detective” fans will get to see the chemistry of Hu Yi Tian and Zhang Yun Long once again.
Particularly, this republican mystery drama’s premise revolves around the Peking-based young lawyer who was fired for upholding his principles. He moves to Harbin to become a detective, and in the course of his investigations, he encounters his frank and affluent friend Luo Shaochuan.
He also encounters Zhou Mowan, a lady who can love and hate at the same time. They uncover a massive plot as a team.
The detective + wealthy police officer characterizations of Hu Yi Tian and Zhang Yun Long from the first team-up will be retained in the show. However, this is not a sequel nor a prequel to “My Roommate Is A Detective”. Instead, fans will get to see them as entirely different characters in a different story. Moreover, they will be accompanied by an ensemble of promising cast.

Well-loved for his boyfriend roles in “Proud of Love”, “Meteor Garden”, “My Unicorn Girl” and “No Boundary”, he will be back on the small screens starring in not one but two upcoming 2022 C-Dramas. Known for his boyish charms and lovable demeanors, he will bring to life another character viewers will fall in love with.
To illustrate, the narrative of this series is about Ou Shinan the Hao Wu Organization’s CEO is a bright and talented professional woman. Her work and family life are both impressive. However, an accident puts her in a coma for two years. She then discovers her lover has betrayed her. Consequently, she encounters Shao Mo Li. A young man who believes in her business ideals and expansion ambitions.
As a result, they began to work together to launch a business. Soon after, they develop feelings for one another. Watch Deng Jia Jia and Darren Chen portray as lovers in this business romance drama.

4. Cang Lan Jue / Eternally
Genre: Xianxia/ Period Costume Drama

Male Lead: Dylan Wang/ Wang He Di
Known for being Dao Ming Si in the 2018 remake of Meteor Garden, Dylan Wang had taken on other drama projects soon after, such as his roles in “Evernight Season 2” and “The Rational Life“. This will also be his second Xianxia drama following his portrayal in “Miss The Dragon”. For fans who missed seeing him in costume dramas, fret not because soon you will see his stunning looks donning a Demon Lord costume and long hair in this series.
Mainly, the plot of this C-drama is about the Po Xin tribe which was defeated by the Demon Lord, Dong Fang Qing Cang, with the help of an immortal female. She was reincarnated as Xiao Lan Hua, a humble immortal of the Heavenly Tribe, ten thousand years later (Little Orchid).
Meanwhile, Dong Fang Qing Cang and Lan Hua’s mortal nemesis who was locked in the Hao Tian Tower was unwittingly awakened. Hance the Demon Lord wishes to sacrifice Xiao Lan Hua’s immortal soul to break the curse that has been placed on his body in order to recover his freedom.
Ironically, in the process, the cold-hearted demon falls in love with the sweet and innocent young fairy. The entrancing tale of this series makes it worth adding to your 2022 C-Dramas watch list.

5. Hu Tong
Genre: Republican Era Romance Drama

The handsome Lin Yi joins the cast of this series making one of his anticipated dramas this year. The story is set during the Chinese Republican period. On top of that, this tale focuses on neighborhood, leadership, multiple couples and best of all, strong female leads.
Specifically, from the early days of the liberation to the present, this drama depicts the story of a family of three generations of women who keep true to their ideals to serve their community. Their stories capture the face of youth in each era to highlight Beijing’s Hutong Culture.
Lin Yi is a delightful addition to the cast viewers will be introduced to in this C-drama. With that in mind, we can all expect another character we will love in addition to Lin Yi’s portrayals of Gu Wei Yi (Put Your Head on My Shoulder) and Lu Jing (Love Scenery).

6. Destiny Of Love

This is one of the upcoming 2022 C-Dramas featuring Darren Chen/Kuan Hung. Arguably one can say that costume dramas are made for him after seeing him as Tang Fan in “The Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty” and Zhan Yan in “No Boundary”.
Hence, viewers will be charmed with his looks once more as he dons a period costume and long hair in this series. More importantly, Darren Chen has already shown his acting prowess as a magistrate/governor and as a sheriff. This time fans can witness him portray as a prince.
In particular, this drama is about a wrong marriage gone right of a disabled prince and a shopkeeper. After a business deal went awry, Qiao Man Man marries Prince Fu Cheng Jin of the Lu Zhao Country. They work together to fight and uncover the machinations of second prince Fu Yun Nuo and Hu Er Sa, the prince of nearby Xi Lin Country.
Meanwhile, under a wedding arrangement between the two countries, A Li Ya, the princess of Xi Lin Country, was set to marry Fu Cheng Jin. Coincidentally, Ji Mo, Qiao Manman’s assistant, however, wrongly took her in. Witness how Darren Chen and Huang Riying play out the tale that unfolds in Destiny of Love.
