A Love So Beautiful narrates the story of Chen Xiaoxi (Shen Yue) who has nurtured her admiration towards childhood friend Jiang Chen (Hu Yitian). The series traverses the blossoming of their young love up to when they have established respective careers. Along with their sweet love ride are side stories about friendship, family relationship and chasing dreams.
Endearing Depiction of Young Love
Growing up together, Xiaoxi is set to have Jiang Chen as the object of her admiration. She’s quite adorably vocal about it and her daydreaming mostly has him in it. In contrast to her bright and vibrant attitude, Jiang Chen acts on what he perceives is required of him. He knows Xiaoxi’s adoration and subconsciously her presence has been imprinted in his system.
That whenever she is in trouble, it’s in his nature to protect and help her. In his own way, he has adored her through his actions. When Wu Bosong (Gao Zhiting) an equally attractive young man professing his fondness towards Xiaoxi.
Their moments especially when the romance hiked up in their university life are a bucket of bliss. The eventual separation and eventual reconciliation sealed the yarned young romance story.
Fascinating Side Stories
Mainly threading on the love pairing’s sweet love tale, A Love So Beautiful is made even more engrossing with its side stories. Providing layer of nostalgia is the friendship circle of Xiaoxi, Jiang Chen, Bosong, Jingxiao and Lu Yan. Their relationship reminisces the lifetime friends we also met when we were all young.
Bosong’s one-sided love is also not to be disregarded as it drove Jiang Chen to be firm in his pursuit of togetherness with Xiaoxi. Likewise, Lu Yan and Jingxiao’s romance also braved the test of time. They too, had been instrumental in helping their friends realize their love destiny.
Albeit funneled to chronicle the main leads’ love journey, the series also gifted passing lessons on chasing dreams and family relationship. Admirably, it captured a wholesome package leading to its well-deserved label of an iconic youth drama. A story that would be enjoyed by varying generations in the future.

Those quick episode tail-ends anecdotes are undeniably sources of zest in A Love So Beautiful. It gave us glimpses of interesting insights to the actions of our lead love pairing in the story. Honestly, the epilogues further affirmed Jiang Chen’s equally beautiful love to Xiaoxi.

Every episode of the series was crafted to blend to its adorable chronicling. From its early episodes establishing the extraordinary connection of the main leads, it moved to a deeper understanding of how literally their love is so beautiful.
From episode 1 where we saw Xiaoxi’s shameless yet cute “wo xi huan ni” declaration, she carried on with her one-sided crush while nurturing her friendship with him. Those small and big moments proving their mutual adoration might have missed Xiaoxi’s radar, but us viewers, frolicked on Jiang Chen’s sweet and sneaky ways.

A Love So Beautiful Series Musings
When I first saw A Love So Beautiful, my reaction was literally bafflement on why I am enjoying the simple and trite story of Jiang Chen and Xiaoxi. So much, I had to reflect if it is depression-driven. *chuckles
Shen Yue and Hu Yitian brought life to their roles to an impeccable chemistry. It definitely shines owing to the heart-fluttering moments that can make any viewer smile.
Definitely one of my favorites dramas that I always recommend people to watch. Its narrative strongly presented how the actors and creative team harmoniously and mutually synched. It yielded an apparent visual feast of its heartfelt and delightful storytelling.
Chronicling a love really so beautiful, this series easily fascinates even when nothing mind-blowing is happening in the plot. It goes without saying that this youth drama never loses its saccharine magic owing to how it reminds us of our very own young love memories. No matter how may times you rerun it, you still end up feeling warm and smiling.

Please give a chance to continuing a story of Jiang Chen and Chen Xiaoxi love story as the same roles with Lin Jing Xiao, Lu Yang and Wu Bo Song we are hoping and waiting.
