2. Make A Wish (C-Drama; Premiered July 8)
Sparks fly as the concept of ‘opposites attract’ is taken to its extremes in this unconventional fantasy romance, “Make A Wish”! When a socially awkward store owner, Chi Yan (Ren You Lun) saved a stray cat, the last thing he expected was for the cat to take on human form. Little did he know, the cat was actually a bubbly female cat spirit (Gia Ge).
In order to repay Chi Yan’s kindness for saving her before returning to her home planet, the cat spirit transformed herself into a human being. The cat spirit eventually moves in with Chi Yan, and the two begin a sweet romance as the cat spirit’s energetic personality and cute tactics allows Chi Yan to emerge from his shell and become a better version of himself.
3. First Love Again (C-Drama; Premiere Date TBA)
If you could turn back time, would you? In “First Love Again”, 30-year-old protagonist Ye Youning gets a shot of a lifetime to relive his past as a high school student as he connects with his old flame Xia Wenxi from the year 2006. A whirlwind of emotions ensue as he dives head first into nostalgia and the opportunity to finally make things right – or so we hope.
4. The Day of Becoming You (C-Drama; Now Streaming)
Can’t understand your partner? Walk a mile in their shoes. Or better yet, switch bodies. In “The Day of Becoming You”, Jiang Yi (Steven Zhang), a big star in the entertainment industry, and Yu Sheng Sheng (Liang Jie), an entertainment reporter, find their souls trapped in each other’s bodies after an accident.
Frustrating and hilarious moments ensue as the two individuals grapple with their new realities. Think: A grown man having to deal with period pain for the first time, and an ordinary girl suddenly swept up in the world of glitz and glamour. 5. My Heart (C-Drama; Now Streaming)
Set in a fictional world where everyone has spiritual powers, Qing Qing (Cheng Xiao) is the odd one out as she tries hard to master them all but to no avail. Outcast and treated as a loser with no powers, everything changes when she meets the playboy Prince Yi Xin (Jason Koo), whose arrogant character belies his inwardly wise and warm-hearted nature.
