In the penultimate episode, as the narrative wraps up its loose ends, the spotlight was given to Jung So Min and Hwang Min Hyun who portrays Mu-deok and Yul respectively in the series.

Their characters met when they were young and have become good friends with hints of being each other’s “first love”. However, they lost communication. They meet again when Naksu ended up in Mu-deok’s body as a soul shifter.

All the while, Yul who follows a strict rule of being an upright mage defied his belief and silently protect Naksu.

Episode 19 shows the two characters coming clean and getting their closures. As Mu-deok fell in love with Yul’s best friend Jang Wook, unfortunately, she can only wish him well to fully move on.
