K-Travel Photoreel: “Garden of The Morning Calm”

Garden of the Morning Calm

True to its name meaning, Garden of the Morning Calm puts you in a mood where you can find solace.

A must-visit if you have scheduled a Gapyeong tour in South Korea, the beautiful garden is a stunning symphony of flowers, trees, and landscape.

Every nook and corner is Instagram-worthy. More than that, it’s really the serene value that you would appreciate as you roam around the Garden of the Morning Calm.

On all my visits to South Korea before the pandemic, I always go back to bask in the scenic vistas of this garden. I have seen it in spring, summer and fall, but have yet to witness its winter appeal.

Additionally, its nighttime view is also breathtaking beauty.

Hopefully, once travel becomes normal again, I get to check my winter Garden of the Morning Calm trip.

The arboretum houses over 5,000 species of plants and has been actively drawing tourists every year. Featuring varied theme gardens, Professor Han San Kyung of Sahmyook University spearheaded the construction with the dream of incorporating an artistic space inspired by the definition of Korean beauty.

  • How To Reach Garden of the Morning Calm: Subway: Gyeongchun Line – Cheongpyeong Station -Gapyeong City Tour Bus

Alternatively, you can opt for a tour package or you can take a cab (but it will be pricey)

  • PRO TIP: You can include nearby equally amazing destinations such as Petite France, Nami Island, Gangchon Rail Park, and Jade Park.

Let the photos I took from my visits speak for the beauty of this place. It truly should be included in first-timer or recurring vacationists.
