“Hyper Knife” Starring Sol Kyung Gu, Park Eun Bin, Park Byung Eun and Yoon Chan Young Kickstarts Filming

Cameras are now rolling for medical crime thriller drama, Hyper Knife!

Hyper Knife depicts the battle and growth of a promising genius doctor in the past who reunites with her teacher who plunged her into the abyss.

The series is the work of writer Kim Seon-hee, who wrote the drama God’s Quiz Reboot and the Naver series webtoon Bangjeongsa, which attracted a large fan base. Director Kim Jeong-hyun steers the production in depth adding cool tension unique to the work.

In addition, Vlad Studio, a production company led by director Kim Yong-hwa, who directed the movies Along with the Gods 1 and 2, and Dongpung Co., Ltd., founded by CEO Nak-kwon Choi, who produced the movies The Fatal Encounter and My Annoying Brother, back up the production.

Notably, the spectacular casting draws attention.

First, Sol Kyung Gu, who has shown a wide range of acting regardless of genre in various works and is considered one of Korea’s leading actors in name and reality, plays the role of the world’s best neurosurgeon and teacher Deok-hee. He permanently kicked out his student Se-ok, with whom he had a love-hate relationship, from the operating room.

Park Eun Bin, who won the grand prize in the TV category at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards for the drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo and established herself as a trustworthy actress portrays Se-ok. She was once called a genius doctor, but is now an extraordinary genius living as a shadow doctor at an illegal surgery center.

Next, Park Byung Eun plays the role of Han Hyun-ho, an anesthesiologist who regrets Se-ok’s skills that cannot be brought out into the world more than anyone else.

Lastly, Yoon Chan Young brings to life the role of Seo Young-joo who always guards Se-ok side like a shadow.

Bringing together the best creative team, actors and full-scale medical elements to a crime thriller, Hyper Knife raises expectations for the viewers. The series aims to feature a suspenseful subject matter and a well-structured story that will be expressed by an excellent cast ensemble.
