Jessi ZOOM in Manila

Jessi brings September to a spectacular close as she shines brightly in Manila like the star she is!

It was an unforgettable night with Jessi as Filo Jebbies filled the Mall of Asia Arena with love for the one and only ssen eonni during the ZOOM in Manila: Jessi Concert 2022.

September really ended with a bang, and Jessi’s first official concert throughout her career was the icing on the cake. And, of course, Filipino Kpop fans did not disappoint as they proudly sang and danced along to all the songs, even having the phenomenal artist in tears with their loud cheers.

Jessi Feels Emotional Seeing Manila Fans

The lights grew dim to get the crowd amped up, and the main concert VCR cranked up as a signal that the much-awaited night would finally begin. Filo Jebbies welcomed their beloved artist with the loudest screams, and soon enough, Jessi walked out onto the stage, donning an all-black outfit to open the night with “What Type Of X.”

Jessi did not let the audience cool down from the explosive stage as she followed it immediately with a short performance of her part in the Refund Sisters’ “Don’t Touch Me.”

Just a few seconds after her performance, Jessi can’t help but shed tears of gratitude and happiness as she listens to the cheers of her Filipino fans. She highlighted that it was her first official concert and that she was nervous about facing the crowd. But Filo Jebbies eased her worry as they repeatedly chanted her name, bringing the rapper to tears once again.

Working her best to regain composure, Jessi promised not to cry again and that it felt weird because her next song didn’t fit the vibe. She then pumped up the mood and went on to perform “Put It On Ya,” “Ganji,” and “Dumb.”

Jessi Proves She Is Born To Be A Star

Continuing the night with “Arrived,” a track from her debut EP Un2verse, Jessi effortlessly devoured the Manila stage with her breathtaking stage presence. Her fan service is top-notch as she makes sure to come to every side of the stage, greeting her fans as close as possible. And to fabulously tell the world of her arrival, Jessi grooves with fans with “Boing” and “Gucci.”

Jessi did not let the night pass by without telling off her haters to just bark while she continued to conquer the world. The night grew wild with blazing performances of “Who Dat B” and “Wet” and fun stages for “Down” and “Spirit Animal.”

The Philippines’ very own dance group, A-TEAM, then joins Jessi for a spectacular performance of “Drip.” They took the stage as Jessi went backstage to change outfits.

An Emotional Stage

Jessi returns onstage with a yellow outfit and performs “Star,” a wonderful song that narrates her journey to be the brightest star she is today. As she felt every lyric of her song, the arena transformed into the night sky with white lights.

The Unpretty Rapstar Season 1 1st runner-up choked up in tears as soon as she opened her eyes, barely returning her focus to singing the song.

“It’s not about my success and my failures. It’s about how I got here. And how no one can stop me from doing what I want. I want all of you to know that you guys are all a star. That if you guys put your mind to anything, you’ll do it. I promise you. You know why I can promise you that? Because it took me 18 years. And I did it.” — Jessi

Jessi continued to shed tears as she got surprised with a special fanmade video filled with heartwarming messages from people who genuinely love and support her. She then took photos with her fans, reminding them how important taking photos are and to take as many as possible because those are the only things that will remain to remind them of such happy memories.

The concert then returned to a blast when Jessi performed her biggest hits, “Cold Blooded” and “ZOOM.” She credited her Filipino fans for trending “ZOOM” on TikTok and that it was the reason why ZOOM in Manila happened. The crowd proved why concerts in the Philippines are the best as they covered the arena with their voices, singing and dancing along to the chorus of the song.

Jessi then introduced the last song for her show, “NUNU NANA,” and taught fans how to do the highlight with attitude. The acoustic version gave a fresh rendition to the groundbreaking track, and it was nothing short of magnificence, especially with Jessi enjoying the stage more than ever.

Jessi Spends A Wonderful Night With Her Beloved Filo Jebbies

The lights grew darker, signalling the end of the show. But fans couldn’t leave the arena just yet as they chanted Jessi’s name for the encore. And after a few minutes, the sensational performer returns to give back the love with “SsenUnni.”

Before leaving the venue, Jessi goes downstage to see fans up close. She even greeted fans celebrating their birthdays that night and gave them the most inspiring messages that will help them get through whatever challenge life brings.
