Meet The Main Characters of tvN’s “Alchemy Of Souls”

The production team of tvN’s Alchemy Of Souls previews the lead cast members to meet in the series.

Alchemy of Souls narrates the stories of people whose destinies are magically altered, thereby switching their souls. This change modifies their souls, allowing them to grow in the background of a fictional country that does not exist in history or on maps.

Lee Jae Wook plays Jang-wook, a noble yet short-tempered master of the fictional country in the story. He has a tragic past with a shocking birth secret that is well-known across the country. While resolving his life’s dissatisfaction with his bones, he meets Mu Deok-yi.

Meanwhile, Jung So Min portrays Mu Deok-yi, an amazing assassin stuck in the body of a weakling. Deok-yi has a charismatic presence, however, her body can’t attune to her vigor.

She then became Jang-wook’s servant and secret teacher who led a strict training to the master.

Hwang Min Hyun characterizes Seo-yul as a genius nobleman from the Seo clan. He harbors a secret love story for a girl who is overly perfect.

Furthermore, Alchemy Of Souls is Director Park Joon Hwa’s comeback work after he created What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Bring It On Ghost, and Because This Is My First Life, to name a few. 

He will be working with the Hong Sisters writers, Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran of Hotel De Luna, A Korean Odyssey, The Master’s Sun, My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho fame.

Lee Jae Wook And Jung So Min’s Powerful Pairing

Transforming into opposite characters, Alchemy Of Souls shows the duo’s comical synergy in recent teasers. It shows Lee’s mischievous character as well as Jung’s hardworking and fierce personality. 

Another recent official poster of the drama showcases the charisma of the two actors wearing their hanbok. Like a blade, their eyes cut through while stating, “No one can mess with us!” on the poster. 

Also, the whole team gives a peek at what to expect about the pairing. 

“The duo poster of Lee Jae Wook and Jung So Min captures the relationship between two people. One is of nobility while the other is a slave. The latter is a weak servant who transforms into a secret teacher to a rogue disciple. “

Jung So Min also catches the audience’s attention with her magical poster. Jae Wook also adds curiosity to his statement hinting a connection between a person he knows inside Jung’s body.

Yoo Jun Sang And Oh My Girl’s Arin Gem-Like Transformation

Yoo Jun Sang (The Uncanny Counter) plays Park Jin, the head of Songnim, the largest company in Daeho. He is a born leader who is respected by many rogues for his stormy charisma and delicate leadership.

Expectations are already high for the actor’s passionate performance. The recent stills show his charismatic appearance and promising three-dimensional character transformation. 

The production team then commended Yoo Jun Sang’s portrayal.

“Please look forward to the performance of Yoo Jun Sang, who builds his own character with his experienced skills and nuanced portrayal, as the head of Songlim.”

Furthermore, Arin sparkles like a gem as she wears colorful silk clothes and jewelry that matches her elegant appearance. She plays Jin Cho Yeon, the youngest daughter of the Jin Family. 

Despite her dignified figure, she is an immature daughter with childlike innocence. As a rookie actress, Arin will show her dedication and passion through her charming character. 

Alchemy Of Souls’ production team reveals how Arin puts heart into her craft, stating; 

“Arin is a human vitamin on the set with her unique bright energy. In particular, she is doing her best by not hesitating to ask questions to the production team at all times to portray Jin Cho Yeon’s character in a more vibrant manner.”

tvN’s Alchemy Of Souls premieres on June 18 at 9:10 PM. International fans can watch it on Netflix!
