A new meaning of “sweetest fan service” was defined by Seo In Guk at his first-ever fan meeting in the Philippines!
Presented by Epic Events, Fallen for Seo In Guk: 1st Asia Fan Meeting Tour in Manila was well received by Heartriders!
Held on August 12 at the New Frontier Theater, the event lasted for over three hours and the crowd never complained about it. Fans from Australia, Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea are among the crowd that came and enjoyed the show.
Adorable Actor Meets His Adoring Fans
Seo In Guk opened his fan meeting with his song “My Love”. Welcoming his fans, he says: “Kamusta kayo mga bebe ko? Namiss nyo ba ako? Na miss ko kayo. (How are you, my babies? Did you miss me? I missed you.)” That made the crowd scream with joy. He said he is so happy and excited to meet his fans.
Acquainting himself more with fans, he shared new stories and TMIs to the delight of adoring crowd.
He confirms his upcoming project, Death’s Game will probably be shown in December later this year. When asked what apt description he could give himself, he responds he is sexy and cute. And the fans couldn’t agree more.
Interestingly, his Shopaholic Louis character actually attunes to his real self. He admits that he is a fashionista who has his own style.
There was a portion where various photos of him are shown on the screen and he will share the story of those photos. One photo shows an aegyo post of him. The audience requested him to do one right away, although he was shy at first, he gave in to his fans’ request which made everyone so happy.
He serenaded his fans with songs, “Calling You, “Tease Me”, “Shake it Up” and “I Like You” which is a soundtrack of his recently concluded Korean drama, Cafe Minamdang.
He also receives surprise video greetings from his co-actors Cafe Minamdang, Oh Yeon Seo, Kang Mina, Kwon Soo Hyun and Lee Si On. They all wish him well and to have a successful fan meeting.
They describe him as a very good and hardworking actor. He thanked his co-actors and said that he will treat them to a meal when he comes back to Korea.
All For The Love of His Fans
There is also a Cafe Minamdang Board, full of fans’ concerns and he will randomly choose one to read and give advice to. He reminded his fans that just use his advice as a tip and continue to do whatever they like regarding their concerns.
Then, he surprises his fans with his own cover of a popular Filipino song titled “Ikaw (You)”. He was so sorry that he forgot some lyrics but the crowd tells him it was perfect and he don’t need to feel sorry.
Another fun portion of the program was he chose the Top 10 Best OOTDs from the crowd. From 10 he narrows it down to five, then Top 3, which are fans from Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines. Then he announces the winner, which is the Philippines.
The lucky Filipino girl received a special gift pack and also the chance to have a picture with him. But she received more than that, she was able to hug Seo In Guk and the crowd cheered with happiness and jealousy.
Next, he tried to make his own version of Halo-halo. Unexpectedly, he loves it. After a round of a few more games with his lucky fans, he wrapped the fan meeting with an “All For You” stage where the crowd sang with him, too.
Spending a special time with his fans who enjoyed the effort he poured at the fan meeting, Seo In Guk conveyed a meaningful message.
“It’s my first time meeting everyone. of you. Thank you for the love and support you’ve been giving me. Finally meeting you, and having these memories together make me so happy. We were able to make a good memory today and I hope we can make more in the future. Thank you for giving me this special memory I can treasure. I will try to come back soon. Maraming salamat po. Mahal ko kayo.“
Seo In Guk indeed made his first fan meeting a night to remember for a long time. It was a night full of fun, music, and laughter, especially for his faithful fans. In return, he made the most out of his time as well and gifted fans with the same love.
