Jin Seon Kyu, who newly joined the role of firefighter Maju Seok, confessed, “I could feel the chemistry of the original counters. In fact, as a new character, I had to show well in this and match the villain’s role, so there was no pressure, but the atmosphere was good, so the pressure turned into excitement.”

Kang Ki Young, who plays Pil Gwang, the evil maestro, said, “I felt a lot of pressure because the season 1 villains did so well. I also didn’t have any villain experience, so I didn’t even have my own idea. Kim Hieora, who plays Gelli, also said, “I feel the same way like Kang Ki Young. However, I met Ki Young and Seon Kyu, the director and Counters already looked at me as a villain and said good things to me, so I gained confidence.

Yoo In Soo, who plays the new counter Na Jeok Bong happily recalled how he was cast in The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch.

As a viewer who enjoyed Season 1, I had high expectations for joining. In fact, when I received the call, I thought my role was a demon. I was thinking about it, but I felt more pressure and anticipation because my role is one of the Counters. I was very happy just by joining the second season.”

Yoo Seon Dong, director of The Uncanny Counter 2, said, “A year and a half after the end of Season 1, we all met together. I remember saying that I had no intention of doing Season 2 just because Season 1 is a huge success. I want to meet viewers soon,” expressing confidence.

The Uncanny Counter moved to tvN instead of OCN where Season 1 aired. In response, Director Yoo said, “Season 1 was also created with the desire to be enjoyed by men and women of all ages, so nothing much has changed. However, since I first started at OCN, I just feel that the channel is like my hometown. And I am happy to have come to tvN, where more viewers watch.”

Meanwhile, The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch will be broadcast for the first time at 9:20 pm on Saturday, the 29th on tvN and Netflix.
