It’s a new year and new K-Dramas are up for your viewing pleasure on Viu!
Opening Viu’s 2024 K-Drama season roster is Love Song For Illusion!
Prepare yourself for a new fantasy romance drama about the love “triangle” between a man with two conflicting personalities and the woman who loves him.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, the series follows Crown Prince Sajo Hyun (Park Ji-hoon), who leads a double life due to his two conflicting personalities. He exists both as the crown prince and Ak Hee, a fashion designer in town. On the other hand, Yeon Wol (Hong Ye-ji), who has taken on the identity of Gye Ra after becoming an assassin to avenge her family’s deaths, sneaks into the palace one day to kill the king. However, after falling for a trap in the palace, Yeon Wol finds herself without her memories and ends up becoming the crown prince’s concubine.
In case you missed it, the time-transcending romance Moon in the Day recently wrapped up.
Adapted from a popular webtoon, the romance drama surrounds Do Ha (Kim Young Dae), a nobleman from ancient Korea who is murdered by his beloved wife, Han Ri-ta (Pyo Ye Jin). His vengeful spirit then takes possession of Han Jun-oh’s body, a popular movie star in modern-day Korea, to take revenge on the very lover who ended his life 1,500 years ago.
Viu Original comedy-romance The Matchmakers also concluded its run. Set in the Joseon Dynasty, two young widowers Jung Soon-deok (Cho Yi-hyun) and Shim Jung-woo (Rowoon) are pressured by the royal family to marry off four young maidens representing Joseon.
With differing values towards marriage, will the two be able to find common ground and succeed in their mission?

Hitting its final episode on January 7, beloved drama The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract. Starring The Red Sleeve’s Lee Se Young and rising actor Bae In-hyuk, the time-slip rom-com revolves around a widower from the Joseon period, Park Yeon-yoo, who time-travels to modern times after getting thrown into a well. There, she ends up in a fake marriage with Kang Tae-ha, a man who not only looks exactly like her late husband but also has the same name.
Likewise, A Good Day To Be A Dog nears its end on January 10.
Adapted from the Naver webtoon of the same name, it revolves around Han Hae-na (Park Gyu-young), a seemingly ordinary high school teacher, who lives with her family’s curse of turning into a dog after a kiss. The only way to break the curse is if she kisses the same man again while she’s in the form of a dog.
The catch? The only one who can break the spell, Seo-won (Cha Eun-woo), is deathly afraid of dogs. Watch on to see if Hae-na can successfully lift the curse in this quirky K-drama.
