The talented rising actress continues her popularity by winning the Female Rookie Award at the 2023 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards.
Her performance for Moving was honored at the Busan International Film Festival’s ACA & G.OTT Awards.
The Asia Content Awards & Global OTT Awards are awards ceremonies targeting excellent TV, OTT, and online content from Korea and throughout Asia.
In Moving, Go Youn Jung played the role of Jang Hee-soo, a physical education student who inherited the ability to regenerate from her father, and led the flow of the play by portraying a wide range of characters from her wild actions to deep emotions.
Expressing her thoughts about receiving the award, she acknowledges it as a career milestone.
“I am truly happy and honored to win the Best New Actress Award at the 2023 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards for my role as Jang Hee-soo in Moving. This award is very meaningful to me as it is the first award I have received since I started acting. I think it is a deep and meaningful award. he said, expressing his sincere thoughts about receiving the award.”
She also thanks the creative team and cast of Moving as well as the people who supported her.
“I would like to once again thank ‘Moving’ writer Kang Full, directors Park In-je and Park Yoon-seo, my father Ryu Seung-ryong, all seniors, Jeongwon High School students, and staff for allowing me to receive such great praise. I would also like to express my gratitude to the MAA family, teachers, and fans. I think I was able to receive this award because there were many people who supported me.”
Lastly, Go Youn Jung said, “I think this award was given as an encouragement to always work hard with the same mindset as the first time, and I will continue to be an actor who never loses my original intention.” She added, “Thank you once again for loving Moving‘s Jang Hee-soo. “I will come and greet you with good work,” she pledged.
