Hwang In Youp Highlights The Idea Of Self-Love In Fascinating Pictorial Interview

Mesmerizing in muted hues, Hwang In Youp revealed trivial and interesting stories in his recent photoshoot with Marie Claire.

Raking immense following after his recent impressive portrayals in dramas True Beauty, 18 Again, and The Tale of Nokdu, the actor has no other way but to rise.

Confessing his surprise when he saw the massive increase of his Instagram followers, he cutely shared about being practically novice when it comes to social media.

He rarely posts anything and started roughly around 3-4 years since he felt awkward taking pictures of his face. But for the sake of his fans, he promised to upload little by little.

In Youp’s Mind Map

Profoundly relaying the adjustment to his growing popularity, he impressed with his revelation on how he keeps things organized.

He said, “I write down my thoughts rather than trying to keep doing things or forgetting things. It’s called a mind map. I think I’m trying to think concisely by writing down what I’m thinking and what I want to do.”

As a self-confessed lover of me-time, Hwang In Youp likes listening to music and walking alone rather than meeting people.

Starting his career as an actor in his late ’20’s, he acknowledged starting earlier would have been helpful in his work. But he was less confident that time and is happy to have started late because he thinks he has done better after gaining life experience and confidence.

When asked about his motivation to be an actor, he gave another resonating answer. He asserts honesty without overthinking.

“If you want to do something, the reason should be just because you want to do it. That’s why I wanted to do it, and it wasn’t because I had to do it because it was good for me, but because it was what my heart wants.”

On Choosing To Be Positive

Conveying his mindset and temperament before that he wants to continue as an actor, Hwang In Youp remarked wanting to flow naturally and harmoniously in his life as an actor.

“I have no desire to compete. I don’t feel like I have to win. I don’t want to think of having to beat someone in the process to get to a position. This is not only about being an actor, but it is also true in life.

Admitting he does not harbor a competitive spirit, he chooses to be a positive person who works hard and by doing so, winning as well in his own definition. He’d rather focus on his own growth rather than be overwhelmed with pointless passion.

“If I step on someone and try to win unconditionally, and if it’s my passion and tenacity to have it out of greed, I don’t think that’s it. I don’t want to think of unnecessary things other than me to achieve something.”

Wrapping up the interview, Hwang In Youp responded to the question of the smallest greed he had at that moment which is harmless to everyone.

He said wanting to live alone and have a quiet time cooking with a complete neat table setting.
