“Duty After School” Announces Cast Lineup Headlined By Shin Hyun Soo and Im Se Mi

After School War Activities

Along with a teaser poster, TVING original series, Duty After School affirmed March premiere.

Based on Ha Il-kwon’s webtoon of the same name, Duty After School tells the story of high school seniors who started a “real war”, not a war for entrance exams, but a fight against the attack of mysterious creatures that bafflingly covered the sky.

Earth is on the verge of an apocalypse due to the invasion of unidentified entities, and the desperate struggle of teenagers holding ‘guns’ instead of ‘pens’ unfolds thrillingly in the worst situation ever.

Shin Hyun Soo takes on the role of platoon commander Lee Chun-ho, who values military law and is unyielding towards students, but is really warm inside. Talented actress Im Se Mi aims for another notable role as Park Eun-young, a warm-hearted homeroom teacher who prioritizes the safety of students.

Reliable character actor Lee Soon Won plays the role of Sergeant Kim Won-bin, Hyun-soo’s faithful sidekick.

Rounding up the main cast are rookie actors Kim Ki Hae, Choi Moon Hee, Kim Su Gyum, Lee Yeon, Kwon Eun Bin, Moon Sang Min, and Woo Min Gyu.

They will portray the students who became soldiers instead of students overnight and received training instead of classes.

In the teaser poster, a gigantic sphere covers the blue sky as if ready to swallow the school below. It creates a sense of fear in the students watching the scene outside the classroom window and heats expectations even more. Raising curiosity about the situation, the daily lives of high school seniors change overnight.

The production team affirmed pouring effort to capture the essence of the original work.

“Based on the solid original work, we put our heart and soul into the overall production, from adaptation and directing to post-production. The dynamic and lively video will provide a different fun and exhilarating pleasure from the original webtoon.”

Look forward to the future of students-turned-soldiers in Duty After School in March.
