The refreshing and vibrant cast of Cheer Up starring Bae In Hyuk and Han Ji Hyun recently concluded their first script reading session.
Taking SBS’s Saturday and Sunday drama slot, Cheer Up is ready to infuse viewers with a motivating and fun narrative this October. It stars rising actors Bae In Hyuk of Why Her, The Penthouse‘s Han Ji Hyun, All of Us Are Dead‘s Lee Eun Saem, and more.
Cheer Up tells the story of a university student at Yeonhee University, Do Hae-yi (Han Ji Hyun). As her family struggles financially, she joins the University’s cheering squad called Teyia for money.
The series also highlights how meeting new people completes and make the university life of youth more joyful.
Furthermore, the whole team of Cheer Up successfully wraps up their script reading session led by Director Han Tae Seob (Stove League). He is also joined by Writer Cha Hae Won, who wrote V.I.P.
The cast and the production team filled SBS’ Ilsan Production Center with laughter and positive energy. Supporting casts including Kim Hyun Jin, Jang Gyu Ri, and Yang Dong Geun also attended the session.
Additionally, the production team describes how their table reading session went.
“The laughter continued thanks to the actors’ positive energy and sharp acting breathing from the script reading that we first collaborated on. In particular, the laughter mixed with the actors’ sympathy exploded throughout the script due to the romance and realism of living college life, which further boosted the atmosphere.”
They then invited the viewers to watch Cheer Up this October.
“We are going to see you in a drama that will awaken the youth of everyone that has been forgotten due to the fierce life, so please look forward to it.”
Add Cheer Up to your K-drama watch list! The drama premieres on October 3 every Saturday and Sunday.
