Lee Jun Young Shines as Chaebol Prince in “Dreaming of Freaking Fairytale”

Lee Jun Young captivates audiences as Moon Cha-min, an 8th-generation chaebol riding a white horse, in the upcoming TVING original series Dreaming of Freaking Fairytale.

Premiering on May 31, this romantic comedy follows a woman who, after hitting rock bottom, decides to become Cinderella. She meets a chaebol prince who doesn’t believe in love, leading to a journey where she pursues her dreams.

Lee Jun Young, known for his versatile roles, is stepping into another romantic comedy, generating significant buzz. He shared, “The project felt like a challenge in many ways,” adding, “The script was so engaging, I couldn’t resist.”

For the first time, Lee took an active role in shaping his character, Moon Cha-min, providing input on styling and acting details to highlight the luxurious persona of the chaebol.

Usually, I leave styling to the team, but this time, I participated in meetings and gave my opinions to perfect Cha Min’s look. I even went on a diet to embody the sharp image of an 8th-generation chaebol,” he revealed.

Moon Cha-min’s style, conceptualized by Lee, draws inspiration from fairy tale princes. “I was a bit embarrassed at first, but once I put on the suit, it felt like armor,” he noted, expressing excitement about the character’s appearance.

Describing Moon Cha-min as having a ‘cha-side,’ Lee explained, “On set, he’s often called ‘gold-side.’ You’ll see why when you watch the series,” he teased. Lee also hinted at plenty of “cute, wacky, and endearing moments,” inviting viewers to look forward to meeting Moon Cha-min.

The character’s unique relationship with Chairman Go is another highlight, with Moon Cha-min constantly holding the chairman’s umbrella. Lee recounted, “At first, the umbrella was a bit cumbersome, but over time, it became an integral part of my performance.

With dedication and passion, Lee Jun Young aims to craft a charming fairy tale for adults. “I hope those eager to see a new side of me and those looking for a good laugh will enjoy our work,” he concluded, inviting audiences to experience the whimsical world of Moon Cha-min.
