Lee Ha Nee transforms into a two-faced virtuous woman in the teaser poster of MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama.
Flowers That Bloom At Night tells the story of Jo Yeo-hwa, a widow with two faces who is the daughter-in-law of a powerful noble family. She lives quietly without seeing the world outside as a modest virtuous woman during the day At night, when the sun goes down, she jumps over the fence and takes care of those in need without anyone knowing.
Living a spectacular double life, she accidentally gets entangled with Park Su-ho, and dreams of a tomorrow she has never imagined.
In the first poster released, Lee Ha Nee, who plays Jo Yeo-hwa, a widow who has been married for 15 years, shows off her unrivaled presence.
First, the sight of Lee Ha Nee, dressed in a plain uniform, staring straight ahead with determined eyes, immediately catches the eye. In particular, the shadows around her eyes create a strange sense of tension and charisma. Also, the shadow that surrounds her makes her feel as if she is wearing a mask, stimulating curiosity about the double life that she will unfold.
The text on the poster says: “If the strict national law cannot save the powerless people, can I save them?”
This points out loopholes in the national law and foreshadows Jo Yeo-hwa’s performance in saving the people with a sense of justice, raising the expectations of prospective viewers.
In relation to this, the production team describes Yeo-hwa further.
“She wears a civilian uniform during the day, but at night, her double life climbing over a wall wearing a warrior’s uniform and a mask show the diversity of character. Please look forward to seeing what Yeohwa’s double life which is the complete opposite of her other life.“
Flowers That Bloom At Night premieres at 9:50 PM on Friday, January 12, 2024.
