Heo Sung Tae preps up for another legendary villain role in JTBC drama Insider!
Scheduled to launch on June 8, Insider gives a preview of the character of Yoon Byung-wook, played by Heo Sung Tae.
Insider is an action-suspense drama narrating the story of Kim Yo Han (Kang Ha Neul). He is a judicial trainee who fell into an unexpected incident during an undercover investigation in a gambling ring. Yo Han then struggles to win the loss of fate stolen from him in the prison.

In the drama, Heo Sung Tae clashes with Kang Ha Neul and Lee Yoo Young. As Prosecutor Yoon, he stood above the law and the hidden master calling the shots in the prosecutors’ office.
As the youngest person to pass the bar exam, his intellect led him to cover up the financial crimes of entrepreneurs. While hunting the forces that oppose him, he sees through the hidden bomb that is Yo-han and ploys to eliminate him.
Revealed in the teaser photos, Heo Sung Tae channels Yoon Byung-wook’s strong sense of intimidation. His unfathomable expression evoke a strong aura that befits his drama persona.
As an elite prosecutor, his charisma oozes in his sleek looking outfit. From another angle, he puts off other people’s gaze and glances at his opponent with an oblique posture and sharp eyes. Even a faint madness can be seen echoing his game plan to always go for victory.
Interestingly, the presence of Yo-han, a young judicial trainee is expected to bring an unexpected all-out outwitting game with him.
Relaying his thoughts on his new project, the Squid Game actor shared insights about his character.
“Insider is a work that I wanted to act with a unique tone. It was a script that makes you feel excited. It was so much fun to create an environment that I could create while discussing characters with the director while filming. I wanted to act without power because the setting already projects a strong villain environment. Also, I challenged a different transformation.”
JTBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama Insider will premiere on June 8 at 10:30 pm.
