Lee Da Hee transforms into a conglomerate heiress who is scared for her life in the latest stills unveiled for the upcoming series Island.
Slated for a December premiere, Island traverses the journey of characters destined to fight against the “evil” that is trying to destroy the world.
The series is based on the webtoon of the same name by writers Yoon In-wan and Yang Kyung-il. Notably, the fantasy-action to be highlighted in the drama is set to unfold in the background of Jeju Island, which brims with folk tales.
Lee Da Hee takes on the role of Won Mi Ho, an heiress to the world-famous conglomerate Daehan Group and a part-time teacher. Being born with a golden spoon, she has everything; wealth, good looks, and talents.
It may look like she has walked a smooth path, but in reality, she lives a rough life because of the malicious attention she receives from the media.
Due to an unexpected circumstance, she was sent to Jeju Island wherein she was attacked by monsters she has never seen before and got caught up in a terrible incident.
In the released stills, Lee Da Hee catches viewers’ attention with her urban and sophisticated aura and luxurious visuals. Adding to her elegant charm, she exudes an alluring impression with her refined fashion styling, befitting a conglomerate heiress.
In another still, she makes a terrified expression as if she is being chased by someone. Lastly, she makes a meaningful look as if she is deep in thought in front of the lecture table. It further stimulates curiosity about the mysterious story related to her character.
Revealing the actress’ characterization of her role, the production team of Island said,
“Lee Da Hee elaborately portrayed the character of Won Mi Ho with a unique aura in each of her scenes. As she goes through an unexpected incident, she unknowingly stands at the center of her destiny, so you can look forward to Lee Da Hee’s delicate acting.”
