Kim So Hyun will be taking on a unique character with a special power in her upcoming drama Useless Lies.
Slated for 2023 broadcast, Kim So Hyun was confirmed to be the female lead of the new mystery romance drama 소용없어 거짓말 (Useless Lies) LT.
Useless Lies is a mystery romance drama about a woman who has the special ability to hear lies. She gets involved with a murder suspect whom no one believes as innocent.
Kim So Hyun will be portraying the role of Mok Sol Hee, whose ability to hear lies made her not trust anyone. Although she considers her supernatural power as a curse, she still uses it to uncover the truth by becoming a “liar hunter”.
Adding to the anticipation of Kim So Hyun’s comeback project since River Where the Moon Rises in 2021, the new drama will be helmed by Director Nam Sung Woo whose famous works include Kkondae Intern and My Roommate Is a Gumiho.
Kim So Hyun is well-known for her numerous small screen roles in dramas River Where the Moon Rises, The Tale of Nokdu, and Love Alarm. Demonstrating her wide range of talents since her early career as an actress, Kim So Hyun takes on various genres; from romance, and drama to action.
Thus, expectations are rising on how she will portray the role of a woman with supernatural powers. She is also set to star in a new drama Is It A Coincidence (우연일까) which will air in 2023.
Useless Lies is scheduled to broadcast in 2023.
