tvN’s December weekend drama presents its female lead immersed in her character.
Maestra: Strings of Truth is a mystery drama about Cha Se-eum, portrayed by Lee Young Ae (Inspector Koo, Jewel In The Palace).
She is one of only 5% of female conductors in the world, and a genius or legend, who searches for the truth about the events surrounding the orchestra while hiding her secret. The story is based on Philharmonia – a French drama.
From mystery to human to melodrama, the renowned actress will portray the struggles and growth she experiences as a female conductor.
Maestra Se Eum is a passionate person who rehearses eagerly as if there was no tomorrow. Everyone was envious of her position. Little did they know that her life would be greatly shaken by a secret that others did not know about her.
Meanwhile, in the poster, Lee Young Ae channels the music conductor’s look with her expression of being completely absorbed in her music and the movement of her hand outstretched in front of her.
Just by looking at her, she creates an overwhelming feeling, and the phrase engraved over her movements, ‘Conducting was perfect, everything started to go wrong’, creates an uneasy foreboding.
Like a violin with a broken string, the distorted diagonal lines across the poster seem to signal a dangerous dissonance.
Maestra: Strings of Truth will be broadcast for the first time at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, December 9.
