Korean series fans are set to meet interesting characters when Disney+ original series, Moving premieres on August 9!
In Moving, some of the world’s most ordinary individuals will find themselves running for their lives after government agencies discover their hidden superpowers.
Set in modern-day Korea, Moving also tells the story of a group of superpowered individuals who hide their true abilities from the world in order to protect their families from harm and exploitation.
Adapted from a breakout webtoon of the same name by famed Korean author Kangfull, Moving is one of the most highly anticipated series of the year and is directed by Park In-je (Kingdom Season 2, Moby Dick) and produced by STUDIO&NEW.
Powerhouse Characters of Moving
Acquainting viewers with more details of the lead cast, the series dropped arresting character posters.
Ryu Seung Ryong takes the role of Jang Joo-won, who has infinite cell regeneration ability making him quickly recover from any wound.
Called a ‘monster’ because of his ability, he draws attention to his back story leading to his determination to save people.
Next, Han Hyo Joo captures attention with a pensive look as Lee Mi-hyeon, who has super strong five senses. The text on her poster says: “My life has always been a real battle.” It hints at the twists and turns Mi-hyeon has gone through from the past to the present
Making his small screen comeback, Jo In Sung, equipped with a sharp gaze, effortlessly attracts attention for his role as Kim Doo-sik, the best black agent who has the ability to fly. On his poster writes, “I exist in my own way” clearly revealing his unusual ability and presence.
Also, characters with special narratives attract attention.
Cha Tae Hyun‘s character Jeon Gye-do, an electrician and city bus driver, dons a friendly smile along with the line “I run happily today“.
As it is a newly created character in this work, expectations are raised about how Cha Tae Hyun will play the role of Jeon Gye-do.
The warm smile of actor Kim Sung Kyun, who foreshadows Lee Jae-man’s heart-warming narrative with the line “Dad will definitely go to see his son,” also draws attention.
Kim Sung Kyun will play the role of Lee Jae-man, who will show the image of a talented person with power and speed, which is the opposite of his normal appearance.
Then, Kim Hee Won poses with a meaningful look and smile and plays the role of Choi Il, a physical education teacher at Jeongwon High School and the teacher of Bong-seok, Hee-su, and Kang-hoon.
Lastly, Lee Jung Ha, Go Youn Jung, and Kim Do Hoon, who will play an important role in episodes 1-7, which will be released for the first time on August 9, are also included.
Lee Jung Ha, who plays the role of Kim Bong-seok, flaunts his innocent smile attuned to his pristine vibe reflected on his goal: “I want to fly wonderfully for you.”
Go Yoon Jung adds a special flavor with her bright smile as Jang Hee-soo, a character who enhances the thriving story of MOVING. The intriguing text on her poster says: “This is a secret between the two of you.”
Lastly, unlike the two, Kim Do Hoon, who has a serious and heavy expression, perfectly portrays the role of Lee Kang-hoon, who has fast speed and power in the play.
Owning the mantra: “I will never lose to anyone,” his determined expression heightens the intensity, of his interaction with Bong-seok and Hee-soo.
Moving is slated to debut with a seven-episode premiere on August 9, followed by two episodes per week for the following five weeks, and concluding with a three-episode release for the season finale.
